Do you have any plants where your experience differs from care information or advice you read / heard? Thats the case for my Dischidia ovata âone stripeâ! I had heard that this plant should only be watered when completely dry and the leaves are soft. When I gave it this care, it grew slowly and always with wonky or burned leaves. Now, I water when about 1/2 dry. By not letting this plant dry out, Iâve been rewarded with much quicker growth and nicer, larger leaves! *keep in mind I have this plant in a very chunky mix, the top 1/3 of the root system has very little soil, mostly chunky perlite, orchid bark and coco husk, the bottom 2/3 of the mix is still chunky, but also moisture retaining with soil. The smallest photo is when I got it one year ago, then the photo with a lil plant on the trellis was six months ago when I still was letting it dry out too much, and now look how much itâs grown with proper care! Share your experiences!

Hello! This is my gorgeous plant that I got at a plant sale about 7 months ago! Itâs grown a lot since then and I wanted to show her off a little! #plantmom I am also open to suggestions on ways to improve this plants health! Thank you!
P.s. I just added this moss pole for support.
Hello all! Iâm still relatively new to plants, but was put into contact with someone in my community through a coworker. She was getting rid of some mature plants as the care for them had gotten too intensive and wanted them to go to a home that would care for them. I believe the species as epiphyllum oxypetallum (queen of the night) and schlumbergera bridgesii (christmas cactus). Any advice for these species or the particular plants would be helpful. The Christmas Cactus has small dots on some of the leaves and the Queen of the Night has some larger brown patches. I know at least one of them was kept outside underneath a patio. Thank you in advance for any advice!

Iâm not sure what happen to my snake plant, I noticed this recently? She was sitting in my room which gets subpar lighting, I recently moved her entirely to the balcony where there is more sun and Iâve only watered her once last month like the 30th thru the sink prior to the yellow left :( should I also remove the leaf?

Hey! I know this isnt the best photo, but does anyone know if this is a harmful or beneficial bug? I donât see any damage on my plant (itâs a variegated heuschkelina propagating in perlite) and I see roots and new growth but just found these bugs crawling on the surface of the perlite and under leaves. The bug moves quite quickly
This is my first aglaonema plant so Iâm not really familiar with them, but itâs been growing kind of weird lately and I want to know if itâs normal or if I need to prune the side shoots off? I wasnât expecting it to send up all the little spikes either! Lol
I just thought maybe you wanted to see the top đ€Ș

Iâve got a problem with aphids on my zebra plant, sheâs in her prime at the moment growing lots of new leaves, Iâve tried brushing them off with soapy water(that works for a little while) then they came back. Iâve tried shooting them off with water and they seem to just crawl back onto her. Do I spray them off and repot her? Because the aphids just fall into the soil. Pls help đ

I recently moved into my college dorm, and suddenly my croton is losing leaves, and there seem to be some dark patches growing on some of the leaves? Does anyone know if this some type of fungus or anything I should be concerned about? This plant has never lost leaves or had any of these growths in the time that Iâve had it until now.

I recently bought and potted these plants in these adorable glass mushroom mugs (bc they are too fragile for actual coffee drinking imo). Plus the chives in the terracotta; also no drainage).
They have no drainage, but I read that to "imitate" drainage I could put rocks at the bottom under dirt.
Do you think this would be beneficial? Or do you have anything else I should add as well? Or other suggestions!
I just really love these mugs and want to use them.

Crape Myrtle new growth different color
Hi everyone, Iâm brand new to gardening and I recently planted a crape Myrtle with purple leaves. However, as itâs settled in, it has grown like crazy with long branches and green leaves. Is the different color normal and should I be pruning these branches? It looks like the leaves are getting some discoloration towards the tips.
