I just bought this from Lowe’s a few days ago and lost the tag. I can’t remember what this is, but I remember it was not a pothos, even though it kind of looks like it. The stalk is red and the leaves feel a little hard and thick. Planta is identifying it as pothos. Any ideas? Thanks:)
Hey everyone, I need help! I finally repotted my Monstera!!! And I used a clay pot with a drainage hole. A few concerns?!!!??? I googled that I don’t really need the drainage hole, has anyone experienced this???? If so what can use to close it up?? I’m asking because after I watered it, I now have a little water in the catcher and it’s making me nervous, Only because The clay pot is too big and heavy for the plant stand I have.. I have to purchase a new one. so at the moment it’s sitting in a chair, and I don’t want it to spill over!!! Does anyone have any suggestions?!???
I just bought this ficus that was unmarked. Searching on Planta, it looks like it could be ficus altissimo, pertusa, aurea, or Banyan Fig ‘audrey’. Does anyone know how you can tell the difference?

I've had this guy propogating in a jar for a few months and all of his roots are darkish (why is that by the way?) but most importantly, THIS ONE IS BONE WHITE! Why is it bone white while the others are dark? (The plant and roots feel healthy. EPSECIALLY the white one is strong as hell. Very firm bone white root. This guy has only ever grown in water. All of the roots have never touched dirt. So why are the roots dark (not mushy) except for this bone white root? It's fascinating to me, but I must know - why is it so white???

WOW! New plant lady here….. I have this baby rubber plant that I had in indirect light since I bought it. It was quite small with two stems and half of it died, I guess I gave it too much water. 😟 Anyhow, I moved it to my new stand with plant lights last week, signed up for this App. And this week, it’s gained about a third more growth and the leaves are much bigger. I’m so pleased! This App is awesome, and grow lights are awesome! Who knew?
Hi! I posted on the edible gardening page but got no response as of yet… could anyone tell me what’s going on with my strawberries? Some of them are a normal red… then some of them are browny/yellow and others are a deep darker red, almost purple? Is that normal or what’s going wrong? Tia:)
Anyone know what the white “stuff” is on my money tree? The plant mostly looks healthy but I just noticed this today so idk if its slowly dying. Google says mold but I don’t think so..or atleast I hope not. I have about 8 other plants in the same area and they don’t have this white stuff. Thanks
I showed my neighbor my purple heart spider wart... she said she loved the way it looked so I gave her one and take care of it for her (she can't go outside where it is to take care of it) this is the set up that I have for it. Tell me what yall think! 😁
These leaves were in a bouquet of flowers, and I’m noticing they’re trying to flower… Can I grow them? Tips? While taking these pictures I noticed the color was peeling off, I’m guessing they’re painted 🙁
I got my first Alocasia a couple weeks ago and she dropped one leaf (I’ve heard that they only keep 5 ish leaves at a time and they can drop old leaves when growing new ones but I see any new leaves.) And now there is another leaf looking really bad. Could it just be needing more humidity? I don’t know what else it could want.. she gets bright indirect light
Hello! I’m new to gardening and plants as a whole, I began in June of this year and since then I’ve gotten a Jade Tree, Bunny Ear Cactus, Tineke Rubber Plant, and then most recently a Monstera. But anyways, I just wanted to know if anyone has any tips for caring for a Monstera and how to manage it? She hasn’t exactly made the best impression on my family with how big she already is lol Her name is Lani and I made a cutting to propagate her :) (The cutting had two mature fenestrated leaves on it)
