Looking to buy a plant that will do great away from windows. Any suggestions? Thank you!

So has anyone had a plant that initially you had it in "the best" area for it...only for it to struggle, crispy leaves, dried up new sprouts.... Then out of frustration moved it around, gave up, and plopped it in a spot "not ideal"...only for it to love the new spot...meet my prayer plant...under a frosted top table, under an east window, under a humidifier, next to a heat vent (the brown spots are old)

Iโ€™m getting these marks on my plants. Could these be burn marks from my grow light? Are they too close to the grow light or is too high? Or is this from an unknown bug?

Guys, I've got two rescue kitties that I love โค๏ธ ๐Ÿ˜ more than life itself...however, both, but one in particular (I'm looking at YOU-Smokey!) is a sneaky plant snacker!! ๐Ÿชด ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ› He alone is personally responsible for the demise of 3-4 plants over the past 2 years. I'm thinking of trying one of those deterrent sprays? Like "bitter apple"? Have y'all had success using a deterrent spray? Little scamp won't do it in FRONT of Mama!!๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Oh no! And please I'll take ANY suggestions, except yelling or physical violence-thanks SOOOO much!๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿค—

Just like cutting my hair, Iโ€™m timid about cutting whole sections of plants off lol. But my prayer plant had a big section that was too heavy apparently and it started splitting. I tried to splint and that didnโ€™t work. So I decided to just cut off that whole side and propagate it. Two of the three propagations were ready so I planted them. I canโ€™t believe the difference in the size of the leaves. ๐Ÿ˜†

Local plant shop just posted on IG that they just got a new shipment/restock. It doesn't hurt to look, right?

This aloe plant was gifted to my grandma from her sister 6 years ago as a pup.. For 3-4 years it sat in her kitchen windowsill and never got noticed. I then began my plant journey (about a year and a half ago) and decided that would be the first plant I save for her. I repotted directly into this terracotta pretty flower pot for a year. & this past year I decided to leave it on the front porch during summerโ€ฆ well great idea! Not only have we have gotten exponential growth but Iโ€™ve propagated 6 pups from it as theyโ€™re produced! As for this winter, it has been loving its winter spot in my parents bedroom window! When I say this thing is massive, I am here for comparison & Iโ€™m 5โ€™9โ€!

Happy Friday!! ๐Ÿ’š Do you have any planty plans on the agenda for this weekend!? I plan on visiting some local plant shops and greenhouses! It's supposed to be quite a chilly weekend so I think sniffing some greenhouses will make that a little better! Greenhouse smell makes me happy ๐Ÿคฃ

Guys, my massive monstera had thrips. ๐Ÿ˜’ These were the only salvageable cuttings. I sprayed, bagged and isolated for over 24 hours, washed and put them in water. Anything else I need to do to make these cuttings root successfully? Any other tips? ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’•

๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽถ โ€œThere can be mirrrrrraaaaaclessss when youuuuuuu believeeeeee.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜† My cats ate this down to about one or two little stumps and I saw it had some new growth so I decided to keep it. A year later sheโ€™s thriving, showing off the new bod. Last night she got a taller trellis, a new pot (this time with drainage) and some of her propagations planted back at the bottom.

I just repotted the snake plant last week. Iโ€™ve had the tall one for a couple of years. I wanted a much bigger one so I bought a small 4โ€ one that ended up being 5 separate plants. Do you think they are too cramped in this pot? Should I repot to a slightly bigger one? Does the snake plant like being cramped?

Is this about to flower? I know there's something about when it's done flowering, you're not supposed to cut the stems back? Is that it? Thank you for any suggestions. ๐Ÿ˜Š
