I have two new plants! I am in heaven right now. I am sort of new to taking care of plants. The two that I got today are a ponytail palm and a cactus. I also kind of rescued them from home Depot, the cactus had mold in the soil so I took the mold out and added some cinnamon. Any other recommendations on how to take care of these guys? I chose to him outside in full sun as the planta app told me. these are Bramble and Biana ❤️🪴🌱
This is my first monstera and I really want her to thrive. I’ve seen things here and there about removing the small leaves that grow at the bottom, is this true? Which should I remove/how do I tell which to keep and which to get rid of?
New at caring for a monstera adansonii is this a new growth point??
I just got this Hoya krimson princess a few days ago for only $7 I think it’s from a propagation and I just repotted it. What are your thoughts? Does it look like it’s healthy and will grow?

Love the new gifting feature in the app! In preparation for a move across country, I gave the majority of my humidity-loving plants to a local friend, and I actually felt a bit sad to have to “send them to the plant graveyard” on the app, when I know they are going to a lovely green-thumb home! In closing the loop of my time with my plants, it made me feel quite settled, happy, and gratified. 💝🪴
A LOT of plant chores this weekend. I think I repotted 13 total. A couple different mixes to accommodate the begonia and anthurium. 3 alocasias are scheduled to move to leca tomorrow. Wish me luck on that cause I’m a newbie on that front! Currently ignoring the two monsteras cause they’re gonna be BEASTS to take care of

Help please with this plant, I have had this Olvera for probably about four or five years and it has been doing great and then all of a sudden through the past two months it has just got these black spots on it and it is getting worse and worse and I think it’s killing it and I have no idea what to do. Anything will help, thanks

I repotted my calathea less than two months ago and the roots are coming through again! Should I repot so soon or can repotting this quickly do damage? Also new leaves are coming in, should I wait until they unfurl? Thanks!!

A few times a year I do a plant swap with a sweet lady that works with my husband. We like to send each other pieces of our favorite plants at that time. Just sharing the happiness with one another💚 We’ve always just shared cuttings but this time she gifted them already potted! How sweet right?! Do you have someone that you share your favorite plants with? If so, how do you gift them? I have learned I now have a “Heart leaf plant” and a “Tradescantia zebrina”!! I can’t wait to see how they do! I’m still very much a beginner so this keeps things interesting AND keeps me learning!! Any tips or tricks for caring for these new babies are welcomed and appreciated💚
Newbie question re: humidity. Is the humidifier I’m using for my tropical plants too close and adding too much moisture for my succulents nearby? I just rearranged my collection and always wondered how much of the entire room was being affected by the humidifier (see pics of setup). Thanks! Second pic is the overall size of my plant room. The humidifier reads ~50/65% humidity when run continuously.
Can anyone help me with this plant? Shes finally getting new growth after moving her to a sunnier spot inside but she’s still very leggy and her color looks so faded. Any advice is appreciated!
