Grocery store find! I want it too tower over my bedroom some day.
I have two of these ice plants that Im told they act very much like succulents. They dont seem to be doing great, lots of stems breaking off and the buds all look shriveled. I may need to get these right next to the window. Also the soil they came in doesnt seem to soak up water AT ALL. Im trying to let them be dry but Im open to any suggests ! Thanks
My favorite anthurium 🤩 the little red leaf growing in should end up stretching out to be a little larger than the big leaf - I’m excited!
My ficus elastica (actually three) is also producing new growth - not sure if new stems or leaves yet - and some heathy roots! I may gift some of these, honestly.
THREE new branches and a ton of roots! I was terrified to chop my ficus altissima but I’m so happy that I did. I am still trying to decide if I should pot the top back in with the momma or give it its own pot and chop the top again. Either way, I can’t wait to have a massive tree in my house!!
I need help with my draceanea dragon tree plant. I have repotted it in a bigger pot. The plant has gotten very tall. I've been told I can cut the stalk from the top and it will start growing new stalks below. Is that true? If yes , when should I do that? It is early fall right now. The plant has been outside all summer. It is indoors the rest of the year. Thank you.
It’s time to cut back my plants and I’m very reluctant to. Planta instructions are to measure back 1/3 of the length of the branch and cut there (keeping branching etc in mind). Does it really matter how far back I cut? What’s the closest to the ground that I could cut back and still have the plant grow out again in spring? Do I have to cut back at all? Any suggestions would be so appreciated. No need to answer the whole questionnaire 🙃 I got carried away! I cut her way back. I think it’s ok. So much cut off. Not really sure what to do with the off cuts. My plant is beautiful and I will be keeping a close watch.
Hello all! I have a very sad orchid plant. Or, perhaps the remnants of one? It was one of those grocery store orchids and though it was pretty I knew nada about keeping it alive. It was beautiful for a long time but died of bit by bit. I finally got the nerve and materials to repot it about 3 weeks ago. She’s not looking better…or worse. Does she just need time? I’ve read all the things and watched videos…I have what I think is a good mix for her growing medium and a proper pot…water her according to planta instructions. Do I just need to be patient, or is she too far gone to come back? Thanks in advance for any pointers you can share.
I have a large east facing window in my reading room that I’ve been using for plants for quite some time now. I got some new ones that the app says are too far away from the window… Is it okay that they’re a little further than they want them to be if the light is bright enough in the room? It’s a smaller room with all white walls and it gets about 5 hours of morning sun! There’s nothing to block this window so it gets a lot of backlight all day. I just want to make sure my plant babies are thriving!!! Thanks plant queens, I’m really new to this!!
Some more baby leaves that are getting me through the days.
I got this plant off my sister that she’s had for a while but could use some help with how to care for it- I changed the soil to a generic indoor plant potting mix but I don’t know a lot about it
We’re going to Plant Mania this weekend and I am beyond excited 😜 I’m hoping to find some rare tropical beauties. Enjoy my favorite plant- Charlie, the peacock plant 🦚
Hi I just got this. Never Never plant the leaves are starting to turn brown and crispy. I got another set that was propagating with good roots, but they all turned yellow and dried out. Any advice will help greatly Thank you.
yall what kind of plant is this ???
look at these beauties!
I just bought this huge Shell Ginger. $6!!!! It was 75% off because it's considered a summer plant. I love deals!! Anyway, does anyone else have one? I'm confused about the light requirements. I told the gentleman at the greenhouse that I had a rather dark corner and that was the only place it would fit. He said that they adjust well. However Planta told me it was too dark. 🤦🏼♀️
Hi All! Two very interesting developments in my calathea warscewiczii… a flower and a mushroom at the same time. What does it mean? Has anyone experienced this? Is it a good thing? I have 40+ houseplants, mostly calatheas but this is new to me. Intel appreciated! (I’m excited). Thank you 🙏💗
I’ve been really wanting another pothos, I have a golden pothos right now but I’ve been looking at a marble queen… is there a big difference in watering/light and if I were to hang one which one should I hang? Thanks plant queens!
i have an led fixture that does not have any preset spectrums. wondering how i would adjust it to meet the "full spectrum" levels. here is the adjustability
