Hey guys, I live in Alaska, currently getting a lot of daylight and I did a recent cutting on my Swiss cheese about 1 week ago and the cutting and mother leaves are turning yellow. Would it be from too much light?
So I just got this majestic palm, and I know they can be sensitive to chemicals. I bought some distilled water for the first time watering it, but do I always need to buy distilled water for it? And how often does it need to be watered?
Is monstera getting too much light this is a new grow light the leafs are pulling up they werenāt like this before
This is how my zinnia is doing now, I keep it in the sun all day and water it about every day. Any tips on how to keep it healthy and growing?
Did you all use neem oil / spray on your house plants to prevent pest ? I also saw something about putting hydrogen peroxide in water when watering the soil to kill pests . Does anyone of this actually work ?
Can anyone inform me on what that is. At first I thought it was a new leaf but it has a bulb. Is it a bloom?
Does anyone happen to know why my begonia is doing this? I think itās wilting? Iām not too sure but Iāve cut several leaves and the stems arenāt mushy, thereās no signs of rot and Iām doubtful that itās due to overwatering. I dont think itās pests either. I originally thought it was too humid so I moved it but there was no change and now itās losing its last leaf. Itās also is actively putting out new growth just doesnāt hold more than one leaf at a time. Any suggestions? Same leaf in the pics below, before and after!
I started using this app earlier this year, and I noticed that it tends to prompt me to overwater my plants. I want to get on top of my watering schedule because I have a trip coming up in the fall and I want to make it easy on my plant sitter. Is there a way to see the frequency of watering on each plant? Iāve looked around and there doesnāt seem to be anything thatās straightforward.
I read several posts here about Ottās exotic plants. I googled it this morning and found out itās only about an hour away from me. Since Iām on summer vacation I decided to visit tomorrow. Can anyone give me some tips or recommendations of what to do or look for while I am there? I truly do not need another indoor plant but I am sure Iāll get something! I have been hankering for a peacock plant add to my collection, so if they have a nice once I imagine it will come home with me! Also, I have been interested in getting a fern but Iām worried because Iāve read they are prone to pests. Iāve been really carefully looking after the plants I have and using mosquito bits to keep away gnats and mosquitoes. Do you think I am ready for a fern?
i just saw on titkok something about thrips??? does this plant i just bought have it?
So I didn't realize that I grew 2 different flower species I think ones a banterberry bells and the other might be carnations but what do I do? When should I separate them? Should I separate them?
My albo syngonium has matured now to where itās beginning to produce tri-lobed leaves šš„¹ From what I understand syngoniums do this as they mature going from the more arrowhead shaped leaves in their juvenile form to these split ones in their mature form.
Plant friendsā¦.. I need help. I got this peperomia 19 days ago. I have not watered it in 19 days because the soil has been wet since I got it. I donāt see yellow leaves or brown leaves. I donāt see pests. I see some new growth. Butā¦. I donāt think soil should stay wet for 19 days! Itās been in EVERY window of my house and it thrives in all of them but the soil isnāt drying. So my only recourse I guess isā¦. What? Repot? Iām afraid Iām going to knock off every single leaf if I try to repot this thing. Or I could put a fan on it. Thoughts?!
Joke of the day! šæš° "I told my plant it was looking a little droopy, and it just stared at me. I think it's judging my watering habits." š¤ Have a good day! ā¤ļø šŖ“
Hello! I was wondering what plant this is? I also could use a care guide and how to propagate
My new babies. Left (dragon tree) right (heart leaf philodendron) How do I take care of either one? Any tips? Also I need some names!
Shan got a new set up since my purchase Tuesday.. I started to let it train down but a plank is so much better š¤š½šš
So, Iāve been tending to some spices and veggies for a couple months now but Iām not sure about how well they are doing, I downloaded this app in hopes of getting better knowledge on what I can do to help them grow. The plants are, hot and sweet peppers, oregano and cilantro I believe.
I was gifted this plant today by a colleague who is leaving the company. She doesnāt know what type of plant it is and when I asked for care instructions, she said āIgnore it!ā Itās very lovely with a reddish tint to the leaves. But it has one spindly stalk/stem. She said she had it propped up with a stick but she took it out. I will add something tomorrow but would love to know what it is. Also that stem is way too fragile. Wonder if I might have to chop and hope itās one of those plants where two or three branches will grow where you chop. Thoughts?
