Hey friends! I have an sunpatien with a few dead leaves/blooms. Two questions (since I’m new to planting): 1) Will her blooms come back even if she has already bloomed once? 2) how do I successfully remove the dead leaves?

Hi! I picked this plant up from the store a while back. She seems to be doing great, but she’s leaning a lot, even if I prop her back up, she just can’t hold herself up anymore, and I’m not 100% sure how to help her out. I’m just now getting back into plants after taking a break for a long bit. It came with the black rod but it’s not doing its job anymore since she’s grown. Any advice for her lean or just general plant care I would absolutely appreciate! Thanks!!💛💛💛

Anyone in the south east going to this? I went the first year (2024) in Columbia, SC and it was great. They made it bigger this year, but unfortunately I wasn't able to go. Now it is Charleston, SC and Sydney Plant Guy will be there!!!!!!! I am not missing it in 2026!!!

My Alocasia is performing what I believe to be guttation… this is when plants release excess water and minerals from their leaves, especially when relative humidity and soil is overly-wet. These specialized glands are called hyathodes. I have not seen this before but it’s super cool! It’s the early evening when it did this and I watered it three days ago, still quite damp in the soil. Hoping the new soil mix I am trying is not too wet for it. It has perlite, charcoal and orchid bark mini-chips in the coconut noir so I thought it’d be enough. Maybe I didn’t mix enough chunks in? I did a 50% soil and 50% everything else mix but I def didn’t measure when I did it. 😌

Just a question, if I have bamboo in water and rocks does it grow? Or does it need dirt to grow?
