My rose-painted calathea has a ton of dry edges. She currently sits on a shelf next to an east facing window. Is she getting too much direct sunlight should I trim away the dry edges? Any help is much appreciated.
I need some help. I transplanted my plant because the pot had become too small. I was having issues with gnats because it had too much water. Now Iâm worried there may still be eggs in the soil, but I feel like the plant is dying! Iâm not very experienced with plants. Can anyone help me understand what might be happening? Thank you. đ±đđ»
Meet Poppy Pearl. I got her recently and she isnt that strong and has lost so many of her stems and leaves. Iâm being so gentle with her now. But is that the tendency of this type of plant?

The ultimate question: Pumice or Perlite! Specifically, I am trying to increase aeration for my velvet leaf philodendron that needs well draining soil. It has taken forever to dry out in between watering so I need to repot, check for root rot, and give it a new mix. Iâm also not looking to spend too much so I would go for perlite if someone has a recommendation of one they really like!
I think I almost killed my kalanchoe hanging basket by keeping it in direct sunlight and not watering it enough. I was trying to identify it but it has small prickly hairs on the stem and I couldn't find what type of kalanchoe had that and these flowers. I trimmed some of the really dead brown and gray parts. There are one or two stems blooming in the back, but what should I do about all the ones dropping around the basket?
I got a monstera yesterday they were facing opposite I separated it and made the back face the new pole I gave them âŠ. Do you think itâs going to make it?!!

Mini Monstera: I would like this guy to fill out. He was a rehab project and has healthy new growth, but itâs all in a single stalk. Do I need to cut him back? If so, how far?
new plants! unsure how to make the space look better
Thumbs up if you agree with my logic. I've had a ruby ficus for almost 10 months. It had 5 leaves, now only 3. I know it's struggling, I've tried several locations, different lighting grow light, sunlight.., tried different water, filtered, distilled, rain...but sometimes it looks like a sprout is going emerge then it dries up. So, now my logic...I bought a larger ficus. I'll put it nearby...hopefully Ruby finds inspiration and starts to grow. đ€
Hey plant parentsđ± Very recently I got a sunflower from a grocery store. It had one already in full bloom, is now drooping. I want to know if now is good time for me to cut it and trim the leaves around it?
