Hi I’m new to this group I just joined today. I’m so confused and annoyed I’m trying to upload a picture of this plant I bought, the pictures are perfect and I’ve taken 20 and it keeps saying the picture won’t work 🙄 can someone please tell me what kind of plant this is so I know how to take care of it! Thank you
Aisha
PSA:
While I really appreciate Planta’s water scheduling feature, it should be noted that sticking to a strict watering routine for any plant is likely to end with overwatering and dead plants.
Consider the schedule as more of a reminder to check on your plant and water if needed. Most houseplants will prefer to be more dry before receiving water, and that doesn’t always happen in the same time frame every time. The weather affects it, the amount of light it’s getting, the humidity level, the amount of water it got last time, etc.
For the sake of your plants, do not water on schedule. But do CHECK on schedule. This means sticking your fingers into the soil and feeling for moisture. If the soil is still wet, don’t water. If the soil is barely moist, it might be alright. Some plants want to be 100% dry from top to bottom before being watered.
Wishing you all the best!
Sincerely,

Hi all, I am a beginner and got some indoor plants. I would like to know the best composition of soil fertilizer perlite mix that suits most of the indoor plants growth. Also how to get rid of millipedes from peace Lilly underneath pot. Thanks

I’m a little worried about my ponytail palm. It had a bit of a fall the other day from a windowsill. It don’t come out of the soil or anything. But I wonder if it broke 😬 (circled). It’s also experiencing some yellowing and crispy ends. Suggestions ?

I recently repotted my nanouk and thought to have it climb a trellis. I should have done some research before that because I learned that it is NOT a “natural climber”. Has anyone had success with theirs climbing? Or would you suggest I remove it from the trellis?
Many thanks!

Question… i’m looking for liquid plant fluid, would really like to have organic, that doesn’t smell so awful that my dog follows me around the house trying to see what I have, lol!
What do you guys use? Would really rather not have synthetic and it’s probably the organic that stinks but 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Thank you!

Trying to add this to my plants but have been unable to ID it. It sprouted up in a pot with my Birdsnest Snake plant. I think it’s an Alocasia of some kind but it doesn’t match any images I’ve found.

Keep my plants alive
I accidentally snapped the top of my polka dotted begonia when repotting, I watered it the morning after when I realized the leaves turned upside down.. is it still alive? Will it still grow from this spot?😭

So I started liquid fertilizer for the first time yesterday and i definitely added double the amount of fertilizer to water on accident. Will that kill my plants? Should I wait and see cause they look fine now or do something to fix it.

I repotted a lot of my plants last night because the top soil of many of them was starting to look a little moldy. So I scrapped the top layer and added cinnamon and let it sit for a day. However when repotting, I used the same soil which was still wet, when repotting them but I didn’t water them. This morning a lot of my plants don’t look too happy which is to be expected when repotting, but should I water them. If so, how can I water without over watering. Some of my plants I had bottom watered and some were top watered, all were watered 4 days ago but have all be repotted, either in the same repot but with the soil being less compact or a different pot, that was more appropriate for its size. What is the best way to recover from transplant shock and are there any tips and tricks I should know about this moving forward.
Thanks in advance for all your help!
