(This excerpt was taken from the sign display at the garden I intern at… hope you all enjoy the beautiful bloom photos 💚) Nerine Collection Amaryllidaceae Guernsey Lily South Africa According to legend, it was a 17th century shipwreck that is responsible for the Guernsey Lily's namesake. While en route from Japan to the Netherlands, a vessel from the Dutch East India Company shipwrecked off the coast of Guernsey, an island in the English Channel. The bulbs, as part of the shipment's cargo, washed ashore and proliferated in the sand, spreading inland. For over a century after the shipwreck, the Guernsey Lily's origin was presumed to be Japan due to the ill-fated vessel's route. It was later discovered that the southern tip of South Africa was their origin after they were found blanketing the slopes of Table Mountain, a majestic plateau overlooking Cape Town. The Guernsey Lily is a fall bloomer here in the Northern Hemisphere, and a vibrant autumnal feature!

While misting my Chinese Evergreen and inspecting leaves, I found this. Anything to worry about? The black flecks are soil.

I had this Peace Lilly out on my deck all summer and just brought her indoors before the first frost, about 3 weeks ago. I was investigating while watering yesterday and discovered this: should I change out the soil? Scrape off the top layer? Leave it?

If I wanted my house plants in this layout, would they get enough sunlight? The shelf kind of covers them from the sun

I repotted my majestic palm a few weeks ago. I keep it in a room where it gets sunlight in the morning, but I’m noticing a lot of the leaves are getting brown and looks like it’s drying out. I don’t know if I’m overwatering it. I don’t know what to do. I’ve been misting it every morning ?

I know it’s not a plant, but are these from garden snails? My toddler has been having a great time collecting their little corpses…oops I mean, shells.

App related! How do I change this from Garden to indoor? I went through and the only other setting i could find, I changed it too but still showing garden. These were on the porch, but they’re now inside in the office. Should I have crested a new site and moved them all? That seems like a pain in the ass.
