Hello to all, I have a Elephant Ear that's a good 4 feet tall. For the past couple of years the petioles will bend towards the floor at the stalks. This happens on a very consistent basis. The petioles & leaf will eventually die off. What would cause this? My guess would be the plant is so tall with long petioles with large leaves, the plant isn't able to sustain the weight. I don't recall this happening when the plant was smaller. Any ideas. THANKS.

Not sure about where to place grow lights or what intensity. I have an arrowhead plant and a nerve plant that have the same set up. The leaves aren’t thriving. My arrowhead has been through it. It’s been attacked by my cats (cats are okay). The nerve plant has been nibbled on. I repotted them a couple months ago. I just want them to recover and thrive. Any help would be appreciated.
New Addition, plan on changing pot but also love this one. Does it need to be changed? Any tips on how to care for? New plant dad 😅
I’m still quite new to this, so any advice is appreciated! I purchased this beautiful philodendron birkin today, it was the only one && it was bending sideways. I can tell it definitely needs a new pot, should I wait till it’s completely dry to break up the root ball? I don’t want to shock the plant, or should I top off the top with some chunky soil mix, potentially add some support? Also any advice on caring for these would help me out so much!
Still having this problem with my parlor palm... frond tips are turning gray/brown progressively and becoming super brittle and a little transparent. Watered today with fertilizer; been watering with planta's schedule. It gets enough light too, with a good humid environment. New leaves and shoots are still growing in, but they keep adopting these traits. Planted in a pot with tropical soil and drainage. Someone please help!
I found this last summer on the side of the road with a bunch of free stuff. It was about 3 feet long and only 3 leaves. I cut it way back and propagated some gave some away and replanted it and I'm so excited to see this little babies popping up. One from base and one at the end. However the one at the end is not opening so I have tried putting water on a paper to to add moisture. Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated. Also I have no idea what it is but happy to see it coming back to life
Hi this is a basic heartleaf philodendron that ive owned for a little over a year. I repotted it last weekend and its not adapting to its new pot very well. Its not underwatered because i gave it a good soak when i repotted it and its not overwatered because ive only watered it once. I should also mention that the pot size and soil are almost exactly the same and its sitting on the same window it always has. All of the leaves are curling and the ones as the base are yellowing. I am currently propagating it but would like to preserve the original plant, any tips? Thanks!!! (I would also like to mention that im very skilled with plants because i work part time at a plant store but am unable to own very many because of my schedule. So ill be able to understand a majority of suggestions)
my gloriosum that has decided to variegate!
I have bought this orchid last week and wondering does it already needs repotting? It’s still flowering, I know it’s best to repot it when it drops all the flowers.
Does anyone know what type of plant this is? Planta is giving me hyacinth (but I’m 99% sure it didn’t say that in the box) I got it as a bulb in November- surprised I haven’t killed it yet tbh but I just don’t remember what it is so I figured I could ask
Hey! I recently got a dieffenbachia Camille but its leaves have been wilting super fast like within two days I made sure to water it properly and I’m planning on repotting it but I’m not sure what’s happening as I’m misting it too any suggestions would be much appreciated!
My Syngonium is having a problem, but I don’t know what to do about it. Notice the two yellow leaves at the bottom of the picture; this happens every day, and usually it’s more than two leaves. I’ve heard these plants like to dry out a bit, but I don’t know if that’s accurate, or not. Can anyone tell me why these plants have leaves that turn yellow? TIA!
I bought this little beauty at the garden store while we were perusing plants, and thought it was just so pretty! Of course, I had to bring her home, thinking she would look great on my kitchen counter. However, when I went to find a place in my home, Planta had NO place to put her inside my house, only outdoors! What to do?! Has anybody had experience with a CYCLAMEN indoors? TIA for any helpful comments…
Anyone have any ideas on what kind of snake Plant this is. I think it's in the bird nest family but I can't find anything that looks like it. Thanks
Worth sharing! 😏
Hi, wondering if anyone could advise how to bring my orchid back to life? I have tried replanting a couple times with special orchid soil and followed the care instructions on Planta. Seems like it just doesn’t want to grow.

Me trying to rearrange my grow lights and furniture in my head so I can make room for one more plant
Hi all. I’m in zone 9 in coastal Alabama where we had the crazy fluke snow storm. My outside plants have been covered with frost cloth, painter’s canvas drop cloths or both in some cases. I have removed the canvas covers on the ones getting sunshine now (temps are about 40oF, the others are getting light through the coverings) but I have gardenias that won’t get any sun today at all, just shade, and they are covered with frost cloth & canvas tarp. It has stayed above freezing under there (thanks to xmas lights, too) according to my thermometer. Am I wrong to keep it covered for one more day and night? Tomorrow should see significantly warmer temps. Also, should I take my Xanadu philodendron outside for some sunshine even though it’s too cold for them? They do not get enough light inside my house so idk the worst of the two evils. Tia. Sorry so long.
Just got a fiddle leaf fig tree yesterday! Super excited but a little nervous about caring for it.. does anyone have any tips on how to keep it healthy?
