My husband built me this shelf to keep all my plants. It’s a little higher than expecting and not sure if they will all get sufficient light. Any suggestions on lights that I can throw up there so they don’t die? There were sitting on a table much much lower but due to circumstances we had to put them on a shelf. I’ve looked on Amazon so far but want to make sure I’m not wasting my money.

Hey plant friends just a word of advice, with the temperature changing and it’s getting cooler outside. Please pay attention to your watering schedule on your pothos plants. I have been super busy and hadn’t noticed that 3 of my plants soil even though in a well draining mix, the soil was staying to moist so unfortunately I lost them to root rot. I was already prepared even with my treating them to attempt to save them from the root rot. I WENT and purchased 2 ….6 inch pots from Lowe’s that I noticed on a deal at $9.98 while I was in there. I grabbed them for my replacements 😂😂 I’m such a pothos lover I was not going out like that. I think I should go again to grab a few more just to pacify the mental anguish I have endured because of my plant loss 😂😂😂

I want to switch my Alocasia Polly over to leca. I read somewhere to let the roots adjust in just water before changing over. Do I just plop this whole thing into water, or will that likely kill it?

My white star calathea has thrips and/or spider mites but is still putting out a new shoot. Life, uh, finds a way.

Hello I was given the velvet leaf philodendron as a gift and now… well let’s just say I couldn’t help my self and got three more plants a money tree, lucky bamboo and a coffee plant. Now with that being said I kinda just went to my local store found pretty/cute plants and purchased not taking into account how the care for some if not all is not beginner friendly but hey you love and you learn. So I was wondering if anyone has had these plants and have any tips or tricks or products that helped them out cause I really don’t want to kill these babies!! Thank you in advance

Wanted to share a little bit of my Sunday today 😊 For anyone that’s never been to Ott’s Exotic Plants (in Schwenksville, PA), I highly recommend checking it out sometime this week if you live in the area or will be vacationing nearby. It’s a lovely small business with lots of character in and out, and this is the end of their annual Mum Mountain Season, so I hope some folks can check it out before the blooms are gone. I’ll attach some photos of the inside of their beautiful nursery as well in the comments 🌱

Decided to grab four plants to start off. Very green in the gills with window greens and wanted to see if anyone had good advice for me. I grabbed a Snake plant, a ZZ, an Orchid, and an Amaryllis. Any tips and tricks would be great. Thanks!

I just wanted to share this picture of my pretty snowflake aloe… Isn’t she a beaut! I had no idea these aloes could put out any type of flower, let alone these cute ones! Actually, in reality, she’s much prettier than this picture, but I hope you can enjoy her, anyway. I sure do!

Does anyone have any tips for creating a natural-looking scape for a succulent dish? Any specific types of rocks or brands of top dressing? I’m thinking about using some cool Haworthias, so something that mimics their natural habitat. Thank you!

Looking for some help/info. A friend gave me this plant. She said she was killing it and told me to “save” it. I know the big one is a Shrimp plant and the others are Hens & Chicks but I don’t know the real name for the Hens&Chicks. I also need advice on how to care for the shrimp plant. Also, is the pot to big?

Hello! So I got this plant about a week ago, and I need someone’s help identifying it. The only thing it said when I bought it was that it was an ‘assorted succulent’. I think it is some sort of jade plant but I can’t find photos that really match. If anyone knows please help! I want to take the proper care of it. P.S I wiped the dust off after taking this photo.
