Terrarium candidate? I have this glass jar leftover from a housewarming gift, and I’d like to turn it not a terrarium, but the green tint is making me pause. Anyone have any experience with this?

Random question- What plant do you think is your “spirit animal” and why? For me it’s definitely pincushion moss. It just makes my insides so happy and I feel like it describes me because it just gives off a very friendly vibe 😌

Hi! This looks like a Philodendron Brasil right? Recently came into my hands and I was surprised by all of the brighter yellow leaves. Is this caused by bright light? I’m really in love with the dark green/lime green contrast normally present in this plant, so I want to get some more of that. Should I just try putting it in lower light conditions?

Not a plant expert. I just find it amazing that with proper care to plants and patience and love plants will grow. The only light I have is coming from light bulbs and still they find there way to thrive. I have gotten all my plants and all in horrible stages either dying from thirst or overwatered. Plants are very mysterious and innocent living what I like call beings.

I learned something today. TURNS OUT, ALOE VERA can literally bleed red, much to my horror. And it looks EXACTLY like blood. I spent like 45 minutes looking for an injury and then peeked the roots and they were crimson. Thanks AV for that unexpected twist. (Poor aloe, 1st mites and then you bleed your own blood.)

Hey Jade plant expert, I need help! I’m new to this app. I just picked up a huge Jade plant that someone gave it away last weekend. I have other smaller Jade plants but never had this huge one like this. It apparently was neglected as the pictures show that it’s leaning heavily on one side. I hope to pull thick stems with the rope to the center each week. I’m not sure how much water should I feed or am I able to repot to straightened it up. I am not be able to lift the pot because it’s so heavy. Any advice welcome!!!

I have a cat that loves chomping on any plants in reach so I have to make sure that they are all pet safe. I absolutely love pothos but those are highly toxic to pets. Are there any vine type plants that are safe for pets? I really like the overgrown plant aesthetic

Krystal

Is this a Manjula pothos? Thank you

Help! How do I record my plant information which is planted directly in the soil? Unfortunately Planta thinks every plant should be planted in a pot. I cannot leave the “pot information” blank cause it considers “missing info”

Anybody have experience acclimating houseplants to 100 degree summers? We just finished this porch with a roof (no door yet) that faces west (below) and want to bring some of our indoor forest outside. We’re cautious to do so with most plants because Tucson summers are HOT. Any advice acclimating to heat and direct sun? Previously it was the ‘left to die’ porch, but my bambino apparently only thrives on hatred and disdain as she has given us a new leaf for the first time in 6 months. Good for her, but I’m cautious about her friends dying of heat stroke and sunburn. Any tips?

I’m getting mixed info via the web, so I thought I’d give it a shot on here
. How long do I leave bunny ear cacti pads to callus over after propagating? And how can I tell if it’s completely calloused?
