Terrarium candidate? I have this glass jar leftover from a housewarming gift, and I’d like to turn it not a terrarium, but the green tint is making me pause. Anyone have any experience with this?

Hmm. It depends what types of plants you are planning on putting in your terrarium. For green plants that like a lot of sun light, I would not recommend a green jar because it does not let in any light waves but green light waves (Science ✨) but if you want to put in low light plants, this is perfect. :)

I’m not sure tinted glass lets any of the right light waves through. But I totally flunked science, so I’m sure you can find the right answer on the interwebs. 🤣
1 gillaYep, When you see a color on an object, that means that the object is absorbing all colored wavelengths but that color that you see. That color will pass through or reflect. If the plant is only getting green light wavelengths, and the plant is green… that means that it reflects green light. In conclusion, the jar is absorbing the light that the plant needs to thrive. Since this jar is semi clear, low light plants will suffice.
