Question about an outdoor tree I bought about two years ago. It's an inaba shidare Japanese maple. Pretty much since I've gotten it, at least as long as I can remember...it stays mostly green and gets really red at the tips of the branches. It's on a southwest facing corner of our porch. So it really gets mostly southern light from about I don't know 11 or 12pm for a minimum of 6 hours. Why is it doing this? Also...tips for pruning this, as it definitely needs pruned this winter, it's all over the ground a little more than what I want.

hey yall! random stupid question. are there any use for those watering globe things? that keep your plant moist? I feel like I overwatering already lol but maybe I need those and just to water less often also? Just looking for opinions! :3

Does anyone know what this is?? I donât want to believe itâs root rotđ«Ł I was propagating this Moses in the Cradle cutting and itâs been doing fine but just today I noticed the roots were black. I changed the water maybe a week ago and the roots werenât black at all the last couple days

Hi! Iâm a beginner/intermediate plant owner and Iâm now looking to become more educated on fertilizing my plants. I got a succulent fertilizer for my succulent types and was so excited to see them pop off! Whatâs a good all purpose fertilizer? I have a lot of snake plants, a variety of ficusâs, a few monsteras and some pothos. One of my plant corners below âșïž EDIT: thank you everyone for all your advice!!

Iâve been loving the progress on my dieffenbachia top cutting that I propagated, but how do I make sure it continues to grow without becoming leggy, or so it can grow fuller? Also should I cut off most of the bottom leaves?

First picture is end of January this year; second is end of August. This plant has more than doubled in size and is growing faster than I can find new places to fit it, after months of leaf loss and stagnant growth. I didnât become way better with plants in that period; the main changes were that I removed the plug around its roots and gave it a grow light. If youâre ever feeling bad about a plant not doing well, try to remember two things: - People with âgreen thumbsâ are mostly just people with big south-facing windows - Plants are resilient and can come back, even if youâve been too busy or depressed or stressed out to give the best care. The fact that you care means itâs probably in a much better situation than most. đ Would love to see other peopleâs pics of plants bouncing back, whether from their state when you bought them or from how they used to look in your care.

Hi everyone, My monsterra is getting bigger and I thought of repotting it and separated some of it to a new pot but would like to know all of your suggestions. If it's better to leave it as it is, get a bigger pot and add another pole for support ? Thank you đ

Any idea what dictates the size of new growth on these plants? I'm not changing anything but sometimes new growth is fast and large and other times, slow and grows a tiny leaf. Just wondering if there's anything I should be doing differently
