Does anyone know what this is?? I don’t want to believe it’s root rotđŸ«Ł I was propagating this Moses in the Cradle cutting and it’s been doing fine but just today I noticed the roots were black. I changed the water maybe a week ago and the roots weren’t black at all the last couple days

it’s likely algae if the root was introduced to sunlight in a clear glass. the roots are fine, and it appears to be growing stronger. don’t worry! roots suffering from root rot will be soft and mushy

That’s better news thank you! I’ve propagated many cuttings on this same window ledge and never had this happen. So my next question is do I leave it alone? Or should I clean off the algae? If so, how/what should I use?
