Plant corner in my living room. The cordyline fruticosa is one of my favorites because it produces such vibrant pink leaves the closer it gets to my grow light. The other cordyline that I keep outside has never grown this big and bright and theyâre from the same pot!
Hey! Recently got this orchid and wanted to get opinions. Do these roots look ok? I have them uncovered so I can more easily see when she needs water. Any advice for a new orchid parent?
Just wanted to show off my new anthurium Besseae leaf because it is soooo beautiful and I am obsessed đđđ

Easygoing plants that I have not yet seen on any âeasy plantâ lists yet. 1: Creeping saxifrage/Strawberry begonia This guy is persistently happy despite suffering through fungus gnats and possibly spider mites. Iâve never even seen so much as a dead leaf. 2: Syngoniums. I have three of them and theyâre all doing insanely well, even though theyâve also suffered through spider mites and gnats. Thatâs pretty much the case for all of these. I canât get rid of the dang gnats :( 3: Birdâs nest fern. Iâve had this fern for at least four years. Itâs in a pot with no drainage and I probably severely underwatered and generally mistreated it at several points during its life, but itâs still happy.
This weekendâs plant haul! I got a philodendron micans, a string of pearls, a stromanthe tricolor, and a cactus that I have yet to identify :) Sorry for the bad lighting đ
Back in May I ended up being gone almost a whole month and couldnât water my Brazilian philodendron. It used to be so bright and beautiful and has just shriveled away over the last year. It had been in an 8â pot because it was fairly big, and now all thatâs left is a tiny sprout. Iâve never repotted a plant backwards (going from a bigger pot to smaller one). People have mentioned root rot but I canât tell what that looks like. I moved this sprout from the 8â to the 6â pot today. Can anyone tell me if this was the right move? Can you tell if there was root rot from before? Iâve had philodendrons and pothos now for 2 years but still feel like a beginner. Thanks!!
I have an heirloom philodendron that I recently repotted. Sheâd been in terra cotta for years and I switched her into a fancier pot, but sheâs seemed stressed and droopy in comparison to thriving for so long. Do I switch back to terra cotta? Or is something else to blame?
Instead of putting a plant in the Graveyard and not being able to bring it back into the live plant listâŠI created a special âroomâ category called âHospiceâ. That way if it miraculously recoversâŠI can move it back into the list of living plants.
Hi. New here. Any tips with using the light meter on this app? Is it best to measure at the brightest part of the day from where the plant is located or at the dimmest? Or somewhere in the middle? Thank you.
Hi! Iâve had this arrow head plant for about a year and a half. Not long after I got her and repotted she started growing what seemed like another plant out of a node. I didnât pay much mind to it until today when I checked on her and the plant had completely separated and the node piece fell out of the pot! I would like to propagate the severed piece, but is it possible? Should I water or soil propagate? Thanks! đ
Hello! Does it look like my orchid is getting too little light, based on the leaf color? I have a western facing window but the orchid hangs just around the corner (see included diagram, yellow being window and green dot being where plant hands, ~ 3 feet from window)
eight-month progress on my heart leaf philodendron :) it puts out new leaves constantly
6-month progress with my creeping saxifrage :) Recently itâs started growing babies so soon Iâll have even more plants!
She loves it after I moved her and stretched her roots out for her!
FRIDAY! Any fun plant plans for the weekend? đđȘŽ I donât have any specific except from figuring out if this actually is a plant or an đŠ, đœ or something else?
