Ready to plant these babies tomorrow in my window boxes!! Struggling trying to create a layout Iâd like đ
Hello, this is the first tradescantia Iâve owned. When I got it it was only like five inches long and now itâs well over five feet, which Iâm super happy about, but itâs very small. Does anyone know how I can make it a little bushier? Right now itâs only like three long vines and Iâm wondering if cutting it and propagating would work but Iâm nervous to lose a bunch of length. Just wanting to learn :) itâs also got a new little one coming off the top so idk if I should just wait and see if it gets bushier on its own
I am relatively new to plants so I need some help. I had a self proclaimed âplant personâ come help me repot some plants. All the plants that she repotted she used an all purpose soil and mixed in perlite. The problem is, the soil drainage is not great. The water essentially sits on top for quite some time and it takes forever for water to come out the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot. My arrowhead and my aloe are not doing well and my pothos already died. (We also repotted my zz and monstera but they seem to be fine). My question is this: should I repot them again? I know repotting can shock the plants for a minute so I donât want to double shock them and I donât want the extra fertilizer in the new soil to kill them either. What do I do? (The repotting happened a week ago)
What kind of Dieffenbachia is this? Iâve had a hard time figuring it out. How much is it worth? I would appreciate any other helpful care tips.
So many plants, so little time. Lol I'm off work due to back issues and I keep buying clearance plants and make them happy again and sell them on the side of my house for some extra money so I can go buy more clearance plants. Lol it a vicious cycle. đ
My Lady Palmâs new frond wonât unfurl! Itâs been stuck like this for upwards of a month. Is it leaf going to die, or is the plant waiting for something to happen? Or does this just happen? Iâve had 2-3 other new leaves with this one and they all unfurled within a week or two
Help. I accidentally left my philodendron in the Florida sun and the leaves turned brown. Some completely and others are brown and green. Is it salvageable?
Anyone know what this little tail is on my air plant? Iâve never had one sprout this before
Does anyone have any suggestion/feedback? I donât understand why the leaves are crumbling. Should I remove the crumbled leaves?
Hey there you guys I was just wondering if anybody knew what this is? My kale plant was doing really good till all of a sudden. I came back from a trip and there was all these weird little dot things inside of it and itâs dying. Does anybody know what I can do to save it or to prevent this on my other plants I donât really know what it is I think itâs like eating out the inside of the plant. Please let me know!
This my Umbrella tree I want it to grow upwards and not like a bush any ideas how I should do that.
Iâm a first time plant mom and I need help! I didnât know that plants needed drainage holes.. I know, Iâm awful. I have 2 plants with no drainage holes and the soil is moist. Should I repot them into a different pot? Iâve bought some new pots for them. I need tips, Iâm afraid they are going to get root rot or fungus gnats. Please help!! They are both in this picture.
i have a dragon tree i bought a few months ago, but heâs leaning to the side quite a bit. is there a way i can get him back upright? thank you :) apologies if this is a duplicate post, im having issues posting
After a long search for the right size & price point, my dream variegated billie is finally mineđ«¶đŒ
I have a Swiss cheese monstera that was doing really well and now the leaves aren't as green and some of the leaves turned yellow and it has brown spots on the leaves what's wrong with it
Sorry another question! Is this sport variegation on this monstera I am looking at here? It looks like it may have reverted so I donât know if it would be worth getting regardless.
Does anyone know why this begonia is crisping up so much? Water it every few days to keep soil relatively damp and gets what I would consider bright indirect light. Itâs in a 3-4 inch pot.
Not trying to brag or anything but I found lacewing eggs on my Hoya đ
Adrian, I am worried that my pepperspot is in a pot that isnât shallow enough. It does have good drainage holes, much better than the one it came in from Ottâs. I had lifted it out of the nursery pot and moved it into this one for the extra drainage holes, but didnât do anything to the roots. The diameter of this pot is the same as the nursery pot, six inches. I was looking at shallow pots on Amazon. Most that I see are terra cotta or ceramic with one drainage hole. Do you recommend I keep it in the same pot or get one of the shallow pots from Amazon? I think she is looking OK so far, but Iâve never had a pepperspot before. I am ordering the root hormone powder and some hydrogen peroxide for future repotting.
