I am in need of some help with my Pothos. For the first few years of his life he grew up in my office with tons of sun in a huge southern facing window, and I had no issues. He thrived. I left that job a few years ago and had to bring him home, and it's been a slow but steady struggle bus since. Every couple of months, he develops yellow leaves like in the picture. Always in the middle of a vine, while still putting out new growth at the end of the vines. I tried repotting him in a bigger pot (still maybe not big enough?), moving windows from a west facing window to a southern facing window, and finally putting him above a sink (still southern facing) so I remember to water him more frequently (a glass or two once a week or so). The pot does drain but it does have drainage catch attached (sorry, I don't actually know what that is called). Does anyone have any idea of how I can stop the yellowing?
Help! What can I do to get the browning of the leaves to stop??
Okay I’ve gotten a Candidum twice now and this has happened both times. What’s going on?! Can anyone help me?
This is what living in full Florida sunshine can do to you. Stay hydrated, my friends! 💦☀️ But seriously, the first picture is from 04/09 (6mo ago) & the next ones are from 09/24 (last week). I will confess to some negligence for a few weeks. Pair that with 90° weather with no rain, and here you go! The weirdest part though is that when I do try to water these, the soil is just about hydrophobic. Why is that? Are these even salvageable?
A squirrel dug up my ornamental sweet potato, Ipomoea! I have accepted this declaration of war!🤺 I’m not too mad. It gives me an excuse to buy another plant!😂 The local critters lost a lot of their food source both last year and this year. The 100°F heat wave of last summer and hurricane Beryl this year destroyed acorns, pine cones and palm seeds before they matured. Squirrels thrive on these and look for alternatives. Last year they dug out grub worms from lawns and gardens which is a good thing. Grubs leave destructive crop circles in the lawns. My sweet potato plant was going dormant preparing for next spring. It was easy target for a hungry squirrel.
Hi, I just recently got this succulent so I'm not sure if its a water/soil problem or stress from anything else. But if anyone could help me out with this because I am determined to keep this plant alive. It has brown spots on the leaves, like the one thats under the water droplets. if there's anyway to fix this, please let me know!
AUGHHH my first time getting thrips!!! what’s the best way to get rid of them? my poor monstera is sad 😔 these are the two sprays i’ve been applying… time to put all my plants in quarantineeee 😣
I've had this maranta plant for almost a year now. She has been living in a green house that averages about 85% humidity. There's grow lights in the greenhouse and I water her about every 11 days. She had been absolutely THRIVING. Putting out multiple big leaves a month, she was by far my most active plant. Then last week she took a nose dive. The leaves got all crusty and brown as if she were too dry, despite the humidity in the greenhouse. I'd been noticing the water not sinking right away when I watered her, so I thought maybe the soil had become hydrophobic. So I repotted her and transferred her from terra cotta to porcelain stoneware. It's been a few days and she still looks just kinda... meh. Has anyone ever experienced this?? Will she make a comeback?
Does anyone know what these white rings are on the bottom of my sweet pea leaves? I’ve pulled off the leaves with the rings. Based on my reading, it seems like powdery mildew is primarily on the top of leaves so not sure that’s it. Any tips for how to fix would be greatly appreciated!
I’ve got these mini white spiders making webs everywhere here. It’s not thriving at all. What should I do? What kind of pesticide should I use? It’s a watermelon something plant. Thanks very much.
Is something eating my plant?
Help! I have a dwarf banana plant that I brought inside for the winter but it appears to have an ant infestation. I brought it in and after a few hours, I saw mini ants on and around the pot and plant stand. So I’m assuming they are in the soil. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🐜🪴
Any tips on getting rid of gnats? They seem to be chilling in the soil of a lot of my indoor plants.
I’ve been neglecting my plants for about 3 weeks due to me being busy. I just found my lucky bamboo turning yellow. Can I save it? Or is it too late?😕
While Planta flagged my aloe as needing water, the soil is quite wet and one of the bottom leaves fell right off. Pictured is the fallen leaf with a white looking rot which was originally below the soil. What should I do? Note: the burnt looking tip of one leaf I did almost 8 months ago leaving it in a high sunlight window I believe. Not part of the current issues
A coworker of mine recently found a new job and left this orchid behind. I’m pretty sure it was just stuck inside an office without sunlight or proper care. I’ve never owned an orchid before so I have no idea what I’m doing with her. Any and all tips/suggestions are welcome please! 😭
What is going on with my plant? 😢
This new leaf took forever to come through and when it finally opened up it looked like someone bit it! Why is that? It unfurled that way. Why did it come up that way? Anyone else had this problem?
