I got this Monstera Deliciosa Aurea today and of the 2 in the store I simply chose this one because it was surprisingly in better health. This one has damaged to both of the slightly matured leaves, the new leaf coming out has some nasty brown discoloration, there’s that same sad brown on the largest leaf, and he’s a really droopy baby 😞😞😞 can anybody tell me what’s up with everything? Ps. My new mint monstera is less and less variegated every newer leaf, what can I do to help return the variegation?

My fittonia (nerve plant) is starting to get all dry around some of its bottom leaves. Her soil is still moist and I water her well, so I don’t think it’s an underwatering issue and she hasn’t drooped at all since I got her. She’s also always been in a well-sunlit room but out of direct sun, so I doubt it’s scorching. I’m not entirely sure what I’m doing wrong but I want to make sure she’s getting what she needs. It’s minor now, but I want to try to figure it out before it becomes a more major issue. I am considering that it might be low humidity (even though I do have a humidifier running in the room) or it might be something to do with water quality, and I have also been concerned I may be OVERwatering her (I don’t think that should lead to leaves drying out though?), but does anyone have any other ideas or advice?

Hello Planta community ☺️👋🏻 Would anyone have found an effective solution to get rid of fruit flies and flying gnats? I already own several blue light sticky trap machines around the house as well as the actual yellow sticky traps posted into each plant I own. I also spray Arber Bio Pesticide & Fungicide on my plants once every two weeks in hopes of getting rid of them but it feels like they are multiplying faster than I can keep up with 😭😭😭 Would anyone know of a better solution? Any tips or tricks that worked for you guys would be so appreciated, I am desperate at this point 🫠

what is this on my calathea? I wiped it оff and it came straight off, bunched up - almost like it was plant tissue - it wasn't hard and was easy to remove so don't think it was a scale bug but I'm stressing😭

What could be the issue with my BOP? With the tips being brown. Do I need to repot bc it’s still in the nursery pot for about 6 months now. Thanks for the suggestions.

How does my fig plant look? Is there any suggestions for it? A lot of like the tips of the leaves are black and the under leaves are falling off. I’d there anything I need to do?

So I’ve grown an avocado plant from seed and it was time to up-pot it. I decided to put it in a grow bag and tried to prepare it for transitioning to outside. The first day I set it out for 2 hours. The next day about 4 hours. This morning this is what she looks like😭😭😭 Did I stress her out too much?? Is there any resolve??

Really been struggling with my Thai con… why is it browning before it even unfurls?

These two yellow leaves are the 5th and 6th to turn and drop within the last month, and this has never happened with this plant prior to this. I just transitioned it from soil to LECA this summer, is it still in shock from that transfer? Is there a way to help make the transition easier?

My money plant has had multiple leaves closer to the bottom of the stem drop like this.. they will get really yellow and then turn completely brown all within a day, then drop. I know sometimes these plants drop older leaves, but is this discoloration normal? I’ve looked for pests and don’t see any, and the roots look good as well.

Help!! First time ever dealing with spider mites. I have a large collection, over 60 plants that are all touching each other in some way. I noticed webbing on a dieffenbachia, and immediately quarantined her from all of the others. sprayed all of my plants with a concoction of water, 70% rubbing alcohol, neem oil, and peppermint castille soap. Noticed webbing on my Syngonium and maranta. Are my plants goners? This has all been over the span of a few days. What are the best tips for controlling and eradicating the mites? I’m worried about cleaning each leaf because I have many plants, and many are big vining plants (Brasil, marble Queen, lemon lime philodendron, micans, etc). Please let me know your best tips🥲 considering predatory mites and upping my humidity (usually sits around 60-70%)

Not sure why this guys leaves are yellowing? When I got him there were a few holes but now some of the bottom leaves are yellowing? But also he does have three new leaves coming in. I do have him under a grow light is that to much light? Any help is appreciated!

Look at what I found in my front left garden yesterday! Checked it out with the UF non-native invasive species folks. They confirm it is a CANE TOAD & they added my sighting to their map. Poisonous to pets. And of no use in the garden. So I followed the procedure that they have posted on YouTube for humanely killing it.

Hey guys, Can someone tell me why my silver dragon alocasia has rotting leaves? I water once a week when the soil is mostly dry. He is in a naked root pot and has good air flow. I recently started misting him along with my other plants grouped together and noticed he rotted off two leaves already going on 3😭 he’s still making new ones though so not sure what’s going on. Should I transfer him to a glass jar with lecca?

What's going on with my kalanchoe? Idk what's going on. Some leaves are yellowing and drying off, the majority looks incredibly healthy, while others, well you can see. I picked off the completely dry leaves before I took the picture. Now, this plant is very important to me as it was one of the first gifts my boyfriend (now husband) gave me about 2 years ago. I know it doesn't flower in the summer as it's too bright in the summer time in my apartment so that I'm not worried about. What's going on with my kalanchoe?

Noticed white (I’m assuming mould) on top of the soil on my new spider plant and also my Ivy plant, and I noticed some of the spider plant leaves were dead/dying but the ivy plant seems to be coping alright. What am I doing wrong? They’re both in quite dim places as I’m strapped for space, but is it that they’re not getting enough light and aren’t drying out enough? And will I now need to change the soil out?
