I've had no pest issues for a long time, then today I found aphids on several of my indoor-only plants. I collected/used rain water earlier this week, and guessing now that's how they came in. Has anyone had this happen? For those of you who collect rain water, best methods to ensure it's free of pests before using? Thanks in advance. 🙂

I have a bunch of succulents, and I put them all together thinking it would be better. I always throw my scraps in there for compost or maybe propagation. What should I do to help them in the middle of winter? I live in Illinois. The container has a detachable bottom which i sometimes take off and refill with water because some of the roots are hanging out. What should I do to keep them alive? Can I chop the dead stems off? Should I keep throwing my scraps in here or for possible propagation or nothing? Should I get a different container, if so now or what season? Should I add more soil? Should I let the roots hang out underneath in the water?
Anyone know what these little white things are. I feel like they are too small to be mealy bugs, but i’ve never encountered them before so i’m unsure. Also if anyone knows what to do to get rid of them? Thanks !!!!
I have a Money Tree plant in a very cold area. (Illinois) My cat somehow keeps eating my plants. Is it okay for me to just chop the stems off to the bottom in the cold of winter?

Is my lavender dying or going dormant? I watered it a week ago cause it looked sad but hasn’t perked up. I’m in New England so it’s definitely colder and darker this time of year! There are some bottom leaves that are definitely dead.
Question from a first time plant mom 🥹 What’s the best way to get rid off pests? Thrips and spider mites to be specific 🥹
Why are my succulents having etiolation (i think). I have them under a grow light…succulents HATE me
I am very worried. I got this beautiful pothos as a christmas gift, but when I got it home, a big fat mosquito flew out and I noticed the soil looks rotted… well actually, in the second picture, it looks like a bunch of webbing in there. I’ve housed it outside, away from other plants in the meantime, in case it’s spider mites or an infestation. Anyone know what’s wrong with him?
ready for winter to be over…. why is this hobby so hard? sometimes I feel so discouraged when I see my plants struggling even though I do hours of research on each one. is it just me?
Happy New Year! Here’s your reminder to check your plants (especially the water props 🥲) for pests before the new year. I’m having a great time 😭 dealing with a mealy bug infestation that I discovered on all of my water props this morning.
Got this Hoya that is clearly suffering from root rot. I cleaned her old soil off, did a hydrogen peroxide dip to get any fungus off of her roots and repotted. However, she’s still not retaining water. I have her under a grow light with a humidifier but I’m wondering if there’s any tips and tricks to help save her!
Got this from Ikea for a fiver and wondered if anyone thinks it is salvageable? Some signs of life but unsure about if I can bring it back to its former glory 🥴 maybe I have high expectations 🤷🏻♀️
Is it normal for a Morocco to change colors like this? The outer edges of the leaves are turning a pale green and I was thinking it was over watered. Does this leaf even look like a problem and will it die or is this normal? Thanks!!!
My ZeeZee has more babies 😮😍I think I have to clean the leaves👍🏻
Just saw this on my "imperial red" philodendron. Anything I should worry about? The rest of the plant looks fine.
I got this from my boyfriend, all put together in one small pot and tried rinsing the roots and re-potting into a 7 inch pot. There was originally a panda plant in here as well but it broke off at the root:(. I know it’s not healthy but I have no idea where to start with there being multiple plants in one. Leaves from all plants have been turning brown and squishy and detaching, as well as many brown spots on the leaves.
I’m starting to give up on this plant, i named it Pep. Can someone help me or give me advice on what I can do to save Pep :(
