Help!! My grandparents got me this BEAUTIFUL monstera for Christmas, but it seems to be planted with aerial roots without actual roots.. I’m new to being a plant mom so idk if this will survive? I’d love some insight on if this will work and if not what to do. Thank you in advance!!

Spider mites are going to be the death of me. 😭 For anyone needing help, Castile soap and water is a lovely way to rid them but you have to be consistent in treating your plants regularly. I’ve also learned that humidity is a huge factor, if it’s too dry they love it, they can also get through extremely tiny spaces and fly through the air. Now I’m off to the home improvement store for door insulators to try and mitigate that aspect. 🫠 Everytime I get them under control I slack on my soap spray duties and I get an infested plant.

Does anyone know what is wrong with this plant I have been gifted? I think it is a corn plant but not 100% sure and it doesn’t look very healthy. Can anyone help?

Any suggestions what to do when bringing new plants into the home? I was just at an outdoor market and there was one vendor that had some plants. I got 2 small plants, but as I was grabbing them I noticed the plant next to them had some of that white crusty stuff on it. I saw an earlier post that they may be mealy bugs. How to prevent contaminating my plants with newbies?

Hey yall. My ant plant looks awesome and is doing great. But he loves to randomly drop healthy leaves. Sometimes they are near a baby leaf so that makes sense but it dropped two this morning for no reason?

Help! We went on a 4-day vacation and my Calethea completely wilted! And there are some new brown spots. I usually water it to schedule if the soil gets a little dry with daily mistings. Since we got back I watered it, used a humidifier, and misted it, but it hasn’t helped at all! How do I bring it back to its perky self??

My spider plant had been looking sick since November, about a month and a half after we brought it inside because of the cold. I don’t have the premium for this app, and so can’t use it to diagnose. The leaves feel weird to the touch (vague description sorry) and it’s all droopy. Does anyone know what’s wrong with it and what I should do? The purple tint if from the lamp jsyk.

Newbie to Planta 👋🏼 - gnats are bugging me off right now... I have likely a silly question: does it get worse before it gets better? I feel I've seen an increase over the past 24 hrs but is that because the barrier now in place / what I've done is working? Telling myself the flies are in search of somewhere else to go and to hang tight. Thoughts? My yellow traps/sticking plasters are almost full within a few hours

Hello plant friends! I have taken over a plant care job and oh boy i have my work cut out for me😬 They have about 10 snake plants potted in terracotta and they look real sad. Are they able to be saved?? What can i do to help if anything? EDIT: they are in a north facing window and I’m located in Omaha NE☺️

Hi! I’m looking for some help for my lemon tree!! It’s flowering it’s growing, but there is this - I wanna call it like a build up ?? Of small white crystals / dust-like particles? It’s weird to explain but in the photo it looks like ice (it’s not I promise!) but I just didn’t know what this could actually be. If you have any tips or ideas I would love some! Thank you!

Pleaseeeee please please could anyone tell me if they’re going through the same issue😂 Genuinely getting worried now, I know I probably need to reshuffle the plant within its potting mix, seeing as the upper part of the root is now pretty much fully exposed (I did a poor repotting of this last summer), but still. This much leaf drop?? It’s pretty much lost 50% of its foliage Also, it’s usually in a brighter spot during the day, I just move it to the other side of the room at night so I don’t walk into 4 plants at once in the middle of the night.

Does anyone know why one of my propagated Raven ZZ plant has turned reddish? It’s been like that for maybe a month or at least 2 weeks. They’re under the grow light for 12 hours and I’ll show pics of the distance between them and the grow light. I change the water weekly and add one or 2 “prop drops” and haven’t had any issues before. The other propagated ones seem to be doing just fine. In the other jar, there was one that also was turning reddish but more brownish, so I pulled it out. I believe the roots seem healthy, but I want to be sure. Any ideas?

Hello! Unfortunately my Amaryllis leaves have yellowed and wilted. I don’t know what to do. It started with one that has gone completely limp and now the other is turning yellow as well. Only one leaf now remains. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! This is my second time posting regarding my rubber plant. I overwatered it about a month ago and most said to just let it dry out and then wait a while to water it. I did that, but the leaves have just been getting droopier and falling off. I took it out of the pot to examine the roots, but they look fine. Please can anyone tell me what they may think is wrong with it? I spent so much money on this plant and I really want it to work out. 😭
