I think the roots are rotting. I gave it too much water without knowing I wasn’t suppose to, and there’s a lot of little fruit fly looking bugs around it. The leaves have been falling and it was drooping. My mom kinda buried it in the soil so it wouldn’t droop anymore. Can I fix it? What should I do?

Help! I re-potted a coworkers jade. One of the jade shoots had a small amount of root rot- all the other roots were healthy. I looked okay for about 3 days and then over the 4 days in the office with no light it looks like this. How can I save her??

Hello It seems like my Monstera Adansonii is struggling. It has been this way since I got it. Anyone know what I can do to avoid the brown leaves? Anything else I should be doing so it grows bigger and fuller? I live in Missouri so it's not as humid at the moment.

Does anyone have suggestions for all natural fungus gnat repellents? I’m very used a pest spray with peppermint oil and food grade diatomaceous earth powder. They both work for a bit, but then I notice them flying around within a day or two.

What's wrong with my Coleus? The base of the stem started yellowing a few days ago and is slowly spreading across the plant, also the leaves have been turning crispy and then they fall off.

Hey hey! I’d love some pink princess lovers to help me get to the bottom of what my plant is trying to tell me. It appears to me that her leaves are a little faded, possibly sun burnt from keeping her on my east-facing window all summer? She also has dry spots all over her leaves, which based on past experience with other philodendrons, suggests that she needs more moisture. She’s currently under a grow light with a humidifier a foot away. Anything else I’m missing, or any conflicting insights from yalls experience?

My black velvet alochasia has 3 leaves with a new one coming out. 2 older leaves turned down but are still firm not frail or easy to bend. Both have these spots on them. Not getting bigger but darkening like the area is dead… thoughts? Should I cut leaves off? I just repotted 2 days ago in a pon mix to make semi hydro. Roots looked good

Hello plant people: Expert advice needed. I have had a Ficus Benjamina for about 5 years, potted up this past summer from a 10 inch terracotta pot to a 12 inch ceramic pot. Watering is different in the ceramic pot but it is shooting out new growth as if it really really likes its new home. But I noticed these spots. Can anyone tell me what this is? I absolutely adore this tree. Please help. Thank you 💚😊

Recently saved this guy from complete root loss so I knew that the leaves would slowly die off. I’m worried about these leaves on the stem though. I would cut them off, but I don’t want the stem to die.

So I got this diffenbachia a few weeks ago and it was doing great when I got it. I had it in a low/moderate light room but it seemed to be struggling with a lot of leaves turning yellow and dying so I moved it to a room with my other plants with plant lights. Leaves still keep dying and wilting up and turning yellow. The soil isn’t overwatered and there is drainage if needed. I checked the roots and broke them up because I’ve had plants die from roots balling up. Is there any bringing this plant back or anything anyone recommends?? Any feedback welcome and appreciated.

So I have three plants in my kitchen (silver pothos, heart leaf philodendron, and a tradescantia). They all sit on top of my cabinets which are directly above the stove. My issue is that they’re very sticky?! It’s not pests; they’ve been this way for a year+. I’ve tried cleaning the leaves with a wet cloth, putting the plants in the shower, and using dawn dish soap on the leaves. Nothing gets the stickiness off. It’s not the whole plant, either, just the top parts near the pot. Is it cooking oil in the air that’s making them sticky? Has anyone else experienced this?

I noticed that one of my leaves turned yellow within just two days. Could anyone please advise what might have happened and what I should do? The plant is currently in my bathroom, next to a frosted window. I placed it there because I read that it prefers higher humidity and bright, indirect light. Any insights would be really appreciated!

Guys, my avacado plant's leaves are drying up and brown spots are appearing, it also has a greenfly on it. What can I do?

PlantNewbie12

Hi everyone! I’d appreciate some help with my struggling pothos plants. I recently put them in soil after propagating in water and have noticed the new leaves/off shoots are going black or seem to be skinny and unhealthy 🥲 Why might this be? And is there anything I can do? Or does damage to the new shoot mean that propagation cant grow new leaves now?
