I just got into plants and I’ve been finding gnats in my room more recently. Any tips on getting rid of them? No clue which plant they’re from but I could figure it out with tips. Thank you!

Alright so my daughters cat got up in her windowsill and got bored… twice now. It has had two leaves for the past month up until yesterday. It was doing great before Rosie decided to be a jerk. Luckily the jerk just chewed the leaves off and didn’t eat them. So she’s fine. The dragon tree… not so much. Any way it could pull through? My 8 year old is hopeful, but I’m not so sure. Thoughts? Suggestions? Plant graveyard? 😅🤷🏼♀️

The soil is retaining water for a long time in this metal mug, should I change the soil to something like succulent/cactus soil so it’ll dry between watering or is this not an issue? Should I just just water less? I’m new to plants but I’ve heard root rot or bugs can be an issue. Thanks for any advice!

I have no picture because I sprayed them all off, but my Bird’s Nest Fern has scale. I prayed them off with water, and then sprayed the whole plant with neem oil. Will this be effective!? 😖 bugs!

If I cut all of the leaves off of a polka dot begonia will it grow new ones? Or do the canes need leaves? The leaves got damaged but the roots are fine

A few of my plants that aren’t doing well seem to have tiny black spots that I can wipe off and are very limp and losing color. No webbing present, I don’t believe it’s spider mites. Does anyone have experience with this?

Can anyone please identify? I washed them all off thinking it was just dried peat moss that popped up from watering. Like little strings. The plant is a beautiful birds nest fern. Weird thing is out of all 24 of my plants, this is the only one I have bought from a high end nursery!

Help!! I just noticed a mealy bug infestation on several plants. I haven’t brought any new plants into my collection. How did they even start?! I’ve isolated and sprayed with a diluted mixture of water and neem oil. I’m baffled as to how I even got them. Can a ping get them? I had one in the middle of all the ones affected. I can’t spray the ping…can I?I don’t see any on her.

Howdy! In attempts to be proactive…does anyone have any suggestions on why my leaves are growing smaller, drooping, browning, and potentially stretching? I’ve played around with lighting this past month which has led to the browning, but the drooping was already happening. Two small leaves came out about a month ago. Any tips or suggestions to help this cutie thrive is greatly appreciated!
