Aloe Vera ; HELP
I just recently inherited an aloe vera. That’s been in the family for quite some time. It definitely need some love and I’m not really too sure how to take care of it and where to go from here. I believe that it was knocked over and then some sort of item was holding it up. I don’t know if I should repot it and if so, how to go about it I’m just looking for a little bit of guidance on this one.

Does anyone know what kind of insect this is? I found it on my Calathea and I want to make sure it’s not something that is going to harm my other plants. It kinda looks like it may be a young pill bug, but I’ve never seen one before so that’s just my guess after perusing google. First picture is of its back, the second is of it’s belly, and the third is me pointing at where I found it on the plant.

I’m battling thrips for the first time and need suggestions on how to curb them before infecting my whole collection. They are definitely spreading since I caught the first plant.
Couple things:
- I don’t have the option to isolate plants as my living space is pretty much a studio
- systemic granules aren’t available in Canada so thats not an option
So far I’ve:
- sprayed with insecticide soap (all infected plants plus a few others preventatively)
- added diatomaceous earth to the soil
- removed any severely infected foliage
- have sticky traps around to catch as many adults as possible
I’ve seen research about coating the whole plant and soil with diatomaceous earth and repeating 1x/1-2 weeks for 3-4 treatments. Has anyone tried this? Or had success with that?
Any other suggestions are welcome!

About a month and a half ago I brought home an Alocasia from the grocery store and I believe it had thrips. Something I’ve never dealt with. I treated and all my other plants with Bondide. I notice these bite marks on my Pothos is this thrip damage?
Also I included a picture of the pest I found when I brought home the Alocasia ☹️ I’m so paranoid now and don’t even what to think about bringing a new plant home. Can anyone recommend a good nursery that sells online that they trust? I’ve heard good things about Steve’s Leaves. I’m in California,

I really don’t know what is wrong with this plant, its a cordyline. I found worms in it so a repotted it, I’ve sprayed it with fungal spray it, didn’t help but I am willing to try that again as I don’t know how to use it very well. It has been dropping a ton of leaves. I plan to water it to day, but I’m not sure as I don’t want to moisten the soil in case of pests! There is now weird white stuff on the stem and leaves, Please help, I don’t want this guy to die!!

This is Gloria, she is an rescue from Aldi grocery store. She was the last one left and dying. I followed repotting directions, watering and fertilizer instructions but her leaves continued to wilt, new growth stopped, and root rot set it through out the middle of all her stems. When I removed all the root rot I found what looks like still healthy root and the bulb looks good (I think) I really don’t want to give up on her, but I think I’m in over my head and would love some advice. I have soaked her in hydrogen peroxide for an hour and now have her resting in a shallow pot of water for the roots.

Hi guys
I got a Chinese taro about a month and a half ago and it’s produced a new leaf:) however I now have some light spots on most of the leaves and yellowing tips on some, what’s wrong with it? It’s placed next to a window and a radiator that is hardly ever on (only early morning before sunrise) I’m using planta’s watering schedule and there are no pests that I can see. (I am dealing with fungus gnats but none are on the plant)
Any tips would help! Thank you!!

I’m worried this leaf won’t come out it looks like it’s 2 in 1 but they/it looks extremely tight in there. I’m to scared to try and help this one I help my others if they seem “stuck” but this one I don’t think I can do it.

Hello! I'm new to the community and I recently got a peace lily (Oct 11) - it was thriving until 2 weeks ago. It was drooping and thought maybe I should water it - once I did (Thursday Nov 2) the next day it was back up but a couple of days later (Sunday Nov 5) it started drooping again and since then it was just getting worse :(
I want to save it but also I'm not sure what to do. Did I over water? under water? root rot? I haven't transferred it to another pot since I got it....
If anyone can help that would be amazing! Thanks in advance <3

A lil while ago I got a neon pothos from a plant place and a couple weeks later leaves started turning yellow and black rings formed where the leaves attached to the main plant
It was:
- in a non-draining pot
- in front of a grow light
- only about 4 inches tall
- watered maybe once a weak
- never fertilised
Does anyone know what could’ve happened? I looked it up and I couldn’t find anything that matched up fully with what was happening.
The plant has since died, it has one leaf left but I don’t think it’ll last long, but I’m asking because I got another plant from the same place (a much larger marble queen pothos) and I’m hoping to stop the same thing from happening.

Hi there, this succulent I got about four months ago is looking kind of strange. I repotted it two weeks ago and haven’t watered it yet. I was about to today and just noticed these two leaves that look discolored and shriveled. The plant itself is also kind of loose in the pot, as in, I can pick the plant up out of the soil. The plant also wasn’t pink in the center when I first got it. I’ve included a picture of the leaves that look weird. I don’t know if I should water the plant? It’s been 2 weeks since I last watered, since the repot. The heater has been on and off in my apt .
