What is happening?
đĄ I decided to check some of my plants that had suspicious markings after watching a video on microscopic mites that are around (especially Hoyas I guess.) And what do you know first plant I picked out had them. Iâve washed it thoroughly with castille soap and neem oil and quarantined the plant. Now every progress report for every plant gets a âmiteâ report. So far I havenât found any more. đ

I believe that it was knocked over and then some sort of item was holding it up. I donât know if I should repot it and if so, how to go about it Iâm just looking for a little bit of guidance on this one.

Does anyone know what kind of insect this is? I found it on my Calathea and I want to make sure itâs not something that is going to harm my other plants. It kinda looks like it may be a young pill bug, but Iâve never seen one before so thatâs just my guess after perusing google. First picture is of its back, the second is of itâs belly, and the third is me pointing at where I found it on the plant.
Why is it yellowing like this?
Hereâs a little update on my orange plant the leafs arenât as light as they used to be. But still not doing great. Any tips?
Hi all, Is this red spider for my rubber plants? Appreciate yâall!
Iâm battling thrips for the first time and need suggestions on how to curb them before infecting my whole collection. They are definitely spreading since I caught the first plant. Couple things: - I donât have the option to isolate plants as my living space is pretty much a studio - systemic granules arenât available in Canada so thats not an option So far Iâve: - sprayed with insecticide soap (all infected plants plus a few others preventatively) - added diatomaceous earth to the soil - removed any severely infected foliage - have sticky traps around to catch as many adults as possible Iâve seen research about coating the whole plant and soil with diatomaceous earth and repeating 1x/1-2 weeks for 3-4 treatments. Has anyone tried this? Or had success with that? Any other suggestions are welcome!
About a month and a half ago I brought home an Alocasia from the grocery store and I believe it had thrips. Something Iâve never dealt with. I treated and all my other plants with Bondide. I notice these bite marks on my Pothos is this thrip damage? Also I included a picture of the pest I found when I brought home the Alocasia âčïž Iâm so paranoid now and donât even what to think about bringing a new plant home. Can anyone recommend a good nursery that sells online that they trust? Iâve heard good things about Steveâs Leaves. Iâm in California,
