Does anyone know why my genovese basil’s leaves are narrowing and look like they’re shrivelling. I changed the wet soil recently and have had some fungus gnats in it before but it doesn’t seems like it has fungus and the roots didn’t look rotted when I repotted it a couple days ago.
Is this little bulb with leaves coming out of it on my Hoya Lac a good or bad thing? My cousin told me it was a sign of flat mites, but AI told me it’s definitely not flat mites and it’s a sign of a happy plant… So do I treat this lady with sulfur or leave her be?!
Should I cut the brown out or leave be?
Please help! I discovered some fuzzy mold on one of my terracotta pots. How do I get rid of it? ☹️
My Chinese money plant is starting to die and I want to save it before it gets too late. My last Chinese money plant did the exact same thing (bottom leaves get lighter until they fall off) I thought it was normal at the beginning but more and more leaves fell until no leaves were left. I wanted to get a new plant (this plant) as a redo so I gave it more light, better soil, and more water. I’ve had it for 4 months and up until now it’s been growing babies and many new leaves. It was growing so much I repotted it from a 5 inch pot to a 7 inch pot with a chunky soil mix. I water it once a week and fertilize once a month during growing season. Is there anything that I can do to save the is plant? And any tips to make sure the rest of its leaves don’t turn yellow? Thank you in advance!!!
So I’ve had this majesty palm for a good 8 months now and it’s been a battle lol, not with the plant but with pests like they don’t spread just this one plant lol. I just got finished with spider mites on this guy (there may be some but I’m going to continue treating with neem oil) but now it’s this. There’s also a different bug I haven’t seen yet but now that I really look close there’s a lot of them in that one area. Anyways that’s circled and also the white spots, it might be scales but idk because I’ve never had those. Also the thick thick webbing at the start of the leaf I don’t think that’s mites but it might be. I’m in upstate ny if that means anything. The plants honestly healthy besides that like it’s giving me new stems about 1-2 times a month. Also when I first got it one of the actual “bases” rotted so I had to take that off. (It was $5 from tractor supply half dead lol) would another one of those grow? I’ll attach a picture of that in the comments as I can only put one per post.
Found this on my dracaena, can anyone identify it?
just noticed all this mold and I’m literally going into shock I’m sure this isn’t good😔 will I lose my snake plant or will it bounce back with a repot? other than the mold in the soil the plant is healthy…
I watered my fern as per the Planta schedule and now it’s shriveling up. Any idea as to what happened??
I got this cutting from a friend and my cat knocked it over and the leaves fell off until this was left, is there any saving it? I noticed the last leaf has turned yellow and I gave it a bit of fertilizer to give it a boost but don’t know if it will pull through. Any advice is appreciated.
Need some advice. Brand new plant (colocasia black ruffles) and she is not doing well. I just purchased her and she came to me very sad, but over 24 hours she looks worse. She’s in a plastic pot, soil unknown, on top of a tray of water for humidity. Bright, indirect light all day a few ft from the window. Her leaf I took a picture of is crispy and shriveling. The other two look oookkk for now. Very wilty. Update: I did water with Luke-warm facet water (don’t have distilled rn) since her soils was damp, closer to dry side. Any ideas what’s wrong? Thank you!
Hi everyone I don’t have a good record of caring for plants but I’m desperately trying to maintain our yard. Can anyone help me figure out what’s happening to my shunmard oak tree? The bark on the trunk is cracked and lifting. We’re in Arizona so it does get hot in the summer, easily triple digits most days. And the plant is in full sun. We have an automatic drip system to the tree, and add fertilizer and mulch every 6months. I don’t see any signs of larvae or bugs. The side of the trunk that is splitting/lifting is sun facing, the back side of the tree never gets direct sunlight isn’t splitting at all. Is this sun-scald? How do I help the tree?
Can someone help me diagnose what’s happening to my cane plant? It has see thru holes scattered throughout. They only occur on the bottom portion of the entire plant. The Planta AI suggested it’s due to a lack of light.
Anyone know what are these white spots on my Cora red? What should I do?
So my alocasia frydek has been having a bit more discoloration. i checked the roots, no rot; no pests/bugs either. I just repotted this today since I was checking the roots and added fertilizer/watered. Under a grow light with no AC on or direct sunlight. what shall I do☹️ (third photo is backside of first photo. Bottom and top of plant with discoloration).
I just brought home this little Silver Sword Pothos. It’s not looking too great but I’m not sure what’s wrong. It was outside when I received but it was about 70 F. Don’t know if it was out last night when temp was lower. I repotted her in a peat moss/perlite/charcoal soil in a plastic cup with lots of drainage. The soil was damp but I did not rewater incase overwatering is the issue. Very small root system but no root rot that I can tell. Now is inside a house where temp is 70-73 and humidity is 40%. No extra humidity has been added to the room, but I also have East facing windows. She won’t be sitting directly on them in her permanent place, but should I set her on a window until she looks better? Thanks for the advice!!!
Has anybody had luck with monkey mask my friend gave me two clippings and I have it on these stairs and I put it out in the sun during the day but it keeps getting brown and it’s really cool I don’t want it to die
does anyone know what this cob web looking stuff is ?😭😭
Hello! I always seem to have a problem growing Chinese money plants. The leaves always fall off and the stalks get tall. The plant is near a window, and I water it on the plants schedule. What am I doing wrong??
