Needing some mealy bug remedies!! I’m visiting my mom and noticed that her monstera is infested ☹️ neither of us have ever had mealy bugs, so we’re not sure how to get rid of them. Any tips? They’re on almost every leaf.
What kinda damage is this on this ficus plsnt? Im assuming some kinda pest
I’m new to the plant life. I just bought this Anthurium at Home Depot a couple weeks ago… does this mean I need to repot her? And how does that process go… help!
My jade plant specifically keeps getting mold/fungus on the top soil. Its right by a sunny window, it’s in a 6’ pot, i haven’t watered it in like 2 weeks since I got it and repotted it from its 4’ nursery pot. I tried cinnamon- do I need to repot again with a chunkier/better draining soil mix, a fan for airflow, or just treat the mold? Thanks!!
Hi! Does anyone know what this brownish kind of film is on my mother of thousands? I’ve tried identifying it myself but I’ve never seen this before. I have it quarantined now so hopefully whatever it is, is an isolated issue.
Hi everyone. No pictures today but I am having such a hard time keeping up with my spider plant! It gets to easily root bound, then repot it into a bigger pot and a few weeks later it’s root bound again! The way o can tell that’s its root bound is that it need water ever other day to every 3rd day. Oh and not to mention the amount of babies it’s growing! How does everyone else keep up with their spider plant?
Hi friends I have this peace lily for about a week now, it was good but it had this slightly yellowing leaf for some time and today I noticed these tiny flowers which were ready to bloom turn brown. What could be the reason and what should I do now? Please and thank you
Help!! 🙏🙏This is a philodendron from my great grandpas funeral in 2020 and is very sentimental to my mom. When I moved out, she let me bring it to my new place. I decided to repot it because the old pot didn’t have any drainage. But after repotting a few months ago, its condition has only been getting worse. (The top picture is before I repotted, the bottom one is what it looks like today.). Is there any saving it?
Hi everyone! Wanted to get an opinion! During spring mass repotting, I accidentally repotted three plants into the wrong soil (long story). It’s regular (outdoor) potting soil, so while not the worst thing in the world, these plants would probably prefer something different. None of them look extremely happy right now, but then again, they’ve just been repotted and it was the first repotting for all of them. Do you think it would be better to repot in more suitable soil, or wait a while and let the plants recover from stress? Which is the worst of two evils! 😆 Appreciate any opinion. Plants are: parlor palm, imperial red philodendron, and thanksgiving cactus. Thanks!
Help I think I have may of found ant eggs in my philodendrons soil. It’s outdoors in a semi enclosed area and I noticed ants around but I just thought it was normal because it’s outside but the plants leaves weren’t looking the best so I looked at the soil and saw this. I immediately repotted the plant and washed off all the egg looking things. A ton of ants were also in the soil. I also sprays 1/3 part hydrogen proxied on the roots and leaves to kill any left over eggs or ants. I think sprayed a ton of neem oil on it to hopefully deter more ants from laying more eggs and have it a great new pot of soil. I’ve also ordered plant safe peppermint spray to deter ants further but if you know what those eggs are or know any other ways to kill the ants please send help.
Is this scales on my Camellia plant!? I just got it two days ago and I didn’t notice it till today (i’m newer to gardening)? If it is scales what should I do, will it kill the plant or do I just leave it and they will go away eventually?
Hello Planta’s!!! I’m just looking for some guidance, I applied some “leaf cleaner” of which I found the ingredients from one of my favorite plant moms on Instagram.. I did eye the measurements, so they weren’t exactly what she said but pretty close to it. I sprayed this onto my elephant ear which was under the grow lamp, can someone please tell me where I’m going wrong? My biggest leaf now looks like it’s burning on parts of it ): it’s been days and the leaf is definitely dying. Kinda sad cause it was the largest I ever got. Was 18 inches long!!! 😭 My poor little blossom )):, I definitely drenched all of the leaves with the cleaner. Out of them, it only burned my largest leaf which I find really weird. And the bloom like died off before it was supposed to. Please also keep in mind, I used the same leaf spray on my Thai Con Monstera as well as my White Princess Philodendron. No damage done there.
Seeking some emotional support about a pest-ridden plant (if you please). This is my girl today, vs in her hey-day. I changed her grow light in January (too bright apparently), this stressed her out, and she got thrips. She’s been in a sad state ever since. What’s your weigh-in? Put the plant to rest to spare the others, or baby her for weeks to get her back to her former glory?
My aloe plant is all droopy! Can I save it and how??
I am brand new to plants and I just recently picked up several close to a month ago. I’ve repotted them today and they all were in desperate need of it. Most of them also had fungus gnats so I soaked them in a hydrogen peroxide mixture, put them all in new pots with new soil as well. I added sticky traps but what do I do now? I noticed also a couple of plants had spider mites so I’ve isolated them from the rest but am needing further advice as well. Pic of my collection prior to repotting
What’s wrong with him? The moisture meter says dry. Maybe I’m not watering enough? Is the soil too “high drain”? Is it too cold (sometimes this room gets down in the 50s)?
I have a new shoot coming up but it has been stagnant for weeks now and will not grow. I water when the soil is dry and just added fertilizer to it about a week ago. The leaves have been stuck in this curled position for weeks now and won’t die or grow. Can someone please offer some advice?!
My rose is absolutely covered in aphids without a single ladybird in sight! It's only a small plant, and I don't want them to kill it, but nor do I want to kill them :( Can anyone help? Tips on repelling without killing would be highly appreciated
What do I do with the dying Arms? (I fertilized them)
