My Java ice cream blue banana tree has gone downhill in the past month. The bottom leaves are coming off and the rest are splitting and also yellowing and browning @ the edges. I can’t figure what’s going on with it. I’ve been following Planta’s suggestions but can anyone help me what they think by looking at the photo what might be the problems are? Thank you so much for any help and suggestions… Janet
Hello! My lil scindapsus is getting these brown spots with the hallow of yellow. I recently had a fungus on my monstera and am worried that this may be something similar. The diagnostic tool on this app is telling me it’s most likely over watering causing this but I want to ensure she doesn’t need a fungicide treatment too! The soil is very damp and I am concerned for possible root bound blocking the drainage holes. I plan to repot her later this week. I also wasn’t sure if it may be a pest just cause the one leaf does look like a bite was taken out of it. That’s how the one of the other two damaged leaves started as well. Any advice is welcomed and thank you in advanced!
How can I save this? The bottom half is very wilted. Is it leggy from being in a spot with too little light? It’s under a plant light now.
Hello 👋 I recently discovered a couple of adult thrips on a couple of my plants and I was advised to buy some predatory mites which I did. The question is, Is anyone able to tell me if these are Thrip larvae or my predatory mites getting to work please? Sorry the pics are poor but I have nothing to magnify them and my phone is struggling to get any detail. I've zoomed in as much as I can, but they're actually not much bigger than a pin prick. They are running quite quickly around the plant if that helps identify them. I'm not sure whether to clean the plant in case they're thrips or leave well alone if they are my beneficial bugs? Please can anyone help?
Does anyone know what might be wrong with my Ficus? She had some brown on the edges of her leaves when I got her, but I just thought she had crispy edges from sunlight and whatnot, but it is spreading and making leaves drop. She is no longer in direct sunlight (been under a grow light for a while). The first thing I did when I brought her home was clean her leaves and check for pests. I just checked the roots today and nothing seems wrong, all look healthy and I don’t see/smell any rot.
HELP HELP HELP HELP!!! My triostar is in desperate need of help and I don’t know what to do. It was living in a homemade pot with minimal and very bad drainage, I just repotted it into a ceramic pot with a drainage hole, about a day ago. I watered it with water that sat out overnight because I read that triostars are sensitive to the chemicals in tap water. (Though the couple months I’ve had it I’d been watering with tap water and it was ok?) How often should I be watering it? How can I help this plant recover? Has this happened to anyone else’s triostar?
Any ideas on why so many leaves are yellowing on my Chinese money plant? It’s been doing great until last week. In April I moved it to an east facing window, which it seemed to like. Now that it’s summer is it maybe getting too much sun/heat? Any advice is appreciated.
Hi! I’m not sure what is going on with my small elephant ear plant. Three of its leaves are nice and tall and happy. Then some of the smaller ones have slowly died. I thought maybe over watering? Or maybe I need to move it? I recently left one trip and purposely didn’t water it because I thought it was over watered already. I came back and two of the smaller leaves were yellow the others were fine. I didn’t mind since I assumed these needed to go anyway? I also added a grow light because it was leaning super far into the window for sun and it seems to like it. One of the leaves is now standing straight up to the light. The smaller ones though don’t seem to try much and are yellowing and look sad 😢 any suggestions or education about elephant ears? It’s my first one and it’s been hit or miss with it. I had growth at one point when it was first gifted to me but never again. I bottom water most of my plants. Last picture is before the grow light.

Anyone have any idea what this is? It's only on one leaf and hasn't spread at all, nor has it grown or changed at all since discovery a week or two ago. We had a bit of a gnat infestation a while back, but have been managing well - this plant is in water, in a glass bowl, and was unaffected but did suffer some algae growth a while back which I was able to clear out and have been keeping a close eye on.
hi! this is my first post on here and i'm actually looking for some advice😬 i have a tiger tooth aloe vera plant and i was being a bit rough when i watered it last time and i accidentally ripped the roots from the soil! i don't know what to do, i know this sounds a bit weird but the plant was a gift from a family member and i promised to keep it alive for as long as i could - it's been two and a bit years now - but i don't want to have to throw it away because i feel so so bad😭 please can someone help me, i don't know what to do!
Okay this is my first monstera a Thai constellation she is small but mighty I am scared she my have thrips idk if that is valid but she has a few small tears in her leaves and browning on her stem and I would rather catch it sooner than later. I treated as a preventative measure with insecticidal soap as well as put some diatomaceous earth down. Can anyone tell me if this is thrip damage I am seeing?

any idea what could be happening here? normal leaf loss? four of them just completely fell off, barely touched it. no signs of pests, roots are perfectly fine. i know the soil is a little dense but because the roots are all good i don't want to mess with them too much if there isn't anything wrong. last watered a week ago, east facing window.
ChatGPT convinced me that my aloe would love being out on the patio. So when I took them out they were healthy albeit leggy. Now they are sunburnt and I feel so bad for them. I’ve moved them below to my covered patio. But what can I actually do to help them? ChatGPT is like this so sad after all the hard work you put into them but the middles are doing good and eventually you can cut everything away after time and save the middles. What?!
Is this whale fin snake plant supposed to be this tall? The one behind it was the OG. The two on the left are pups from past years. This most recent pup I think is the only one that grew when I relocated this plant. I’m wondering if it got enough light 😅 any thoughts?

Stubborn water stains or mildew? I bought this huge gorgeous Hoya (Reef Rider) yesterday who was very dusty from a local Mennonite-owned nursery. I rinsed her off in the shower and wiped down her leaves but these stains are still here. Should I treat her for mildew to be safe? When I wiped more aggressively some of it came off.
I got this for free on marketplace. Do you think it’s gonna survive or is it rotten on the nodes and roots? It’s some sort of variegated monstera. Not sure what kind
Okay so I’m freaking out. 🥲 I found thrips on my Adansonii and this is the first time I’m ever dealing with pests. I was searching my plants like a madwoman last night. I ordered Captain Jacks dead bug and Bonide systemic houseplant insect control…. I took two plants completely out of their nursery pots and soaked them completely in water, Insecticide, a little bit of alcohol and Peppermint Castile soap… For a couple of the plants I used a spray bottle with Neem Oil, Alcohol and Peppermint Castile Soap and sprayed the leaves front and back and did the Granules. For the rest of my plants, I sprayed the leaves with the captain Jacks and the top layer of soil and then added the Granules to the top layer of soil. I wiped all the leaves front and back after using the Captain Jacks. These are all the plants below that I did and they’re “Quarantined” in my bathroom that has no window so I have a grow light not on full capacity but just so they can have light… Can someone let me know if I’m doing this right?! 😭 and how long they would need to stay away from their homes? lol I have seen several different ways of doing it which I think is why I decided to try a few different ways…. Also just being afraid lol. Thank you to anyone who actually takes the time to read this and respond to this overwhelmed plant mom. 💕
