I just brought home this mimosa pudica a from an outdoor garden store, and I found pests 😫 any idea what these are? There was a tiny white nest I destroyed, you could barely see it, and I’m finding these guys in the crevices of the plant. I have over 50 plants and I don’t them to bring my house down!

My money tree has rapidly deteriorated and I’m not sure why. The top pic is from 23 days ago and it was doing great. Then overnight, the leaves all started drooping and it’s been losing leaves since. The bottom left picture is from 9 days ago and the bottom right is from today. I’ve only watered it once or twice since 23 days ago according to Planta. I think the tree may already be dead since the stems have shriveled up too, but I would’ve grateful for any insight as to why this happened! I repotted it sometime after the 23 day pic bc I noticed some roots growing out of the nursery pot so maybe the shock killed it? I also noticed a white moldy looking knob on the trunk today. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi!!! Newbie here! I just moved into a new apartment and there are a ton of beautiful plants. However, i have always been more of a cat & dog kinda gal. But our apartment is pet free. So i am taking care of all these lovely plants and really enjoying the process. I have a spider plant that looks in trouble! I would love to hear suggestions. I think its been overwatered & in too dark a space. BUT the soli look infected. It looks like lichen to me, but maybe a pest or mold?

I bought my monster Thai con from marketplace a month and a half ago and have watered her once; she’s on a decent lighted area but almost all the tips of the leaves are browning and this leaf is yellowing. The pot is very large with no drainage so I feared overwatering, hence the only watered it once. Does this look like root rot or is the plant thirsty? Any advice helps!! Thank you.

My monstera got thisšŸ˜– I usually have it in the same spot in the house without harsh direct sunlight. I don’t remember seeing this the other day, but when checking on it today (since I have a new leaf coming out) I saw thisā˜¹ļø What can I do?

Anyone know what’s going on in my snake plant? I just split from the mother plant since it was tight in its old pot. I couldnt see this spot but now I don’t want to lose both plants! I water about once per month and usually bottom water unless fertilizing. Beginner here, so need some help. Please and thank you 😊

I got this succulent on sale today from Lidl and I was wondering if the spots on the leaves looks like it’s from any pests or fungus(which I doubt because the soil incredibly dry). I always quarantine new plants, but I’m unsure how to actually detect pests šŸ˜… Is it pests, or just uncaring lack of needs being stuck inside Lidl?

Hello all! These southern green stink bugs have shown up around my plants lately. Any safe ways to get rid on them?

Borg Family Plants

Hello, just wondering if anyone has encountered ghost ants? I’ve heard of spider mites, mealy bugs, scale etc… but I Haven’t heard anyone talk about ghost ants. I live in Michigan, I placed an order from a Florida nursery, when the plants arrived I checked them all, the Florida Ghost I ordered was completely infested with these little buggers. Immediately took the plant outside and removed all the soil and placed the plant in water for now. I haven’t seen any sign of the ants in the other plants I ordered, but I’m not sure if there could be eggs either. Any suggestions on what to do, how long to quarantine, etc?

Shane

I haven’t been great with watering her recently but I was wondering if she just needs more water or is something else going on? I don’t want to lose anymore leaves. 😢

Brand new plant mom here. I’m trying to balance doing the right thing but not doing too much to help this monstera flourish. She’s barely surviving, but definitely not thriving. 😩 What can I do for her? House is around 68-70 degrees currently with AC on, but she’s not near where the cool air blows. I repotted her into a tropical soil from miracle gro about a week after she was delivered. Soil is between dry/moist on my moisture meter. TIA!

So I think I’ve killed my plant… I repotted this less than a week ago and I noticed shortly after (a couple days) one of the leaves started to turn yellow. I took it out today to check on the roots and there’s now no roots… is my plant done for or is there anyway I can revive it? 😭

What do I do about the one yellowing leaf on my Strelitzia? I repotted the plant in the center of the pot a couple of months ago and it is tilting again. Thanks in advance for the help! :)

Hey guys, I posted a pic of my orange prince and this is just an update for anyone who commented. UPDATE to everyone who responded and is seeing this now, I confirmed that this is mealybugs. As a relatively new plant mom I’m a bit devastated but I ended up taking a q tip and cotton pads and a size zero paint brush and going on every stem leaf and tiny crevice with a diluted isopropyl alcohol solution which took me around an hour. I removed any white spots I saw, as well as I bought an insecticide to use tonight. The good news here is that none of my other plants seem to be infected or affected by the pests. I found some gnats so I’ll be spraying the insecticide on all of my plants as a preventative, and quarantining the ones close by to the orange prince. I’m still learning how to do all of this, so thanks for all of your help and I hope y’all have a lovely day. šŸ’• I’ll update in a week or two.
