i found spider mites on my pothos the other day and i was planning to rinse and repot, but there were alot of them so i decided to just propagate. I took off all the soil, blasted them with my hose and sprayed with a bit of hydrogen peroxide. I was going to cut and propagate, but now i want to preserve the roots because they aren’t as bad as i thought. Would the plant be ok if i just chucked her in water with a bit of fertilizer?

While I’m at it (previous post) I just noticed these on some of the ends…anyone know what these are? The second photo shows a spot that is actually raised, like a little bubble. I do have new growth but this one stays wet way longer than I believe it should. TIA.

Hi, all. I have several plants that I have repotted in terra cotta pots with cactus/succulent soil in hopes they will do better. (They stay wet so long and when I do water them they turn very yellow). My question is, do I water them now or wait until Planta says to next time? Some, like my Christmas Cactus, were recently watered and aren’t due yet.

Newly obsessed

I got this baby on super clearance but she snapped sometime over the last couple of days. I’m wondering if anyone can tell me if I can repot the roots and get anything from it or if it’s a complete loss. Thank you so much

Recently my plants are dropping leaves. Is this a winter issue and will they recover? It is dramatic and not happening to everyone. For example I have a variegated jade tree that is almost out of leaves now but a regular one that’s fine. Linking my piccolo Banda that is down half its leaves. My fiddle leaf just dropped a leaf too, and I don’t remember that ever happening. They are all in a south west window

Anyone know how to remove millipedes from houseplants? I had removed some a week after first buying a plant and thought they were gone, until I checked before watering one day and found more and there were babies. I hate bugs and it gives me sleep terrors at night knowing bugs are in my room (my plants are in my bedroom).

So I’m slowly trying to introduce my girlfriend’s cats to my plant children, (spider plant and prayer plant.) All of the plants I own are non toxic to cats. Unfortunately I found out both these little munchkins enjoy sampling their plant siblings so I wanted to ask if there were any natural remedies or tips that will keep her kitties from committing plant murder?

Question about Philippe here. He’s had thrips. They were bad. I’ve sprayed him thrice now in the last week and have seen no new signs. I’m hoping he’s cured, but I’m absolutely ready to keep treating him every week for like…the rest of his life if necessary! My question is: Considering the damage to his leaves, would it be more feasible to chop him, repot, and start over? Or are his leaves still able to photosynthesize and nourish him until he grows new ones? He has more leaves than this but these are the two most damaged. I’m kind of guessing I should cut the old leaves as new ones grow? Advice appreciated. He’s my first Selloum and I’ve been dying for one of these for years! I acquired him about 2 years ago and I’m reluctant to bring him back to square one.

Small yellowing ends on Polly, I don’t overwater her but do keep the top layer of soil moist, is it a water issue or something else? Thanks!

Recently had an infestation of fungus gnats which I'm pretty certain is right. Tried the sticky things and watering with mosquito dunk water to kill eggs but decided to just do a repot. How do I make sure they won't come back ? Ill be taking out all the soil and dumping it away but a few are flying about the house and I dont want them to make their way to my plants and start all this over again. And is there any chance of them being in the plants themselves ? 1st issue with bugs since getting them about 2 years ago and I rlly just want them out of my home but I cant leave my plants outside with the temperatures rn.

Leaves on my otherwise healthy monkey mask are slowly turning yellow. Previously, only leaves slightly below the soil level turned yellow. Now, leaves above the soil are yellowing and falling off, even the healthy vines. I’ve noticed a lot of guttation, but I don’t think I’m overwatering? I only fertilize once every few weeks lightly. Normally kept 1ft away from a western window.

Is it ok to leave these mushrooms/ fungus things alone or will they kill my cactus and I should dig the them out? They look kind of gross!

Some brown spots have appeared on my avocado. I have searched for pests, but haven’t found any. What is causing this?

I have my big monsteras in a SW facing window and recently noticed these “burn marks” on just one leaf of each plant. Other than that they are very healthy and giving new leaves consistently. I’ve added pictures of said marks and also what the full plant looks like. What is going on with them! Could it be too much sun?
