Any idea what can be wrong with my Glosorium. I have it in a south facing window with a sheer shade for indirect light. It’s also by a humidifier. I was going to add some coffee grinds for acidity but figured I’d come here first.

Hey! I have a white striped dracaena plant that seems overall to be pretty healthy, but I have noticed that it keeps getting black tips and also some dark spots as well. I have it in half shade and half light, so I don’t think the lighting is the issue. I also had repotted a month ago as well, with a soil mixture mixed with perlite, and rocks at the bottom, but wondering if it’s getting proper drainage. I know that it is relatively is a plant that seems to like drier soil, but I’m unsure if it’s too dry. Also I’m wondering if getting a humidifier will help. I also think potentially it could be sensitive to the water I use. Cause it is just tap water from the faucet, which I figure it could be sensitive to minerals. Really appreciate any advice you guys might have! 💕☺️

My worst nightmare has arrived. I have found mealybugs on my bird of paradise. I only found 2 very very small ones. One may have hitched a ride on me the other day. I went to my local nursery and there was section in the way waaayyyy back that had bird of paradises. And they were ALL infested with mealy bugs. I fear that’s how I may have gotten them. I also check my other plants and none of them seem to have any. I did spray the whole plant with perfect plantista houseplant pest spray. How often should I be doing this if I’ve only found a few?

Why are my peace lillies so sad?? I feel like they’re always droopy and sad. They perk up whenever I water them but start to develop yellow/brown leaves as if they’re being overwatered. I’ve tried a variety of spots in my shop for different light levels. What do I do???

Does anyone know what would cause these issues on a monstera? I repotted her 3 weeks ago and have been watering weekly.

So, I just got this plant on clearance and I’m sure you can tell why. All of its roots were practically dead and the few that it has, had some rot on them so I had to cut them too. How high is its chances of living? Also, Do I need to cut anything else away or is this okay? What are next steps? TIA!

Can someone give me some guidance with my Diffenbachia? I got it last summer at the farmers market and it’s slowly just looked sadder and sadder. I’ve tried different lighting (it’s in my big bay window in this picture to get good lighting, but otherwise is placed in my living room where it gets some sun but not direct). How do I bring her back to life? Do I need to repot and check for root rot? What does root rot look like in Diffenbachia? Any and all advice is appreciated!

Hi friends. My roommate has a large collection of plants, some of which have spilled over to the living room. I’ve started helping him take care of them since he’s a little overwhelmed and forgetful with watering. I just found a horrible spider mite and scale infestation and evidence of mealies on his plants. I’m gonna treat them right now but am wondering if y’all have ever had a situation like this and how to go about making someone take care of a pest problem. I’m just worried they’re gonna somehow get in my room and affect my collection. Thanks for any advice

Update on Ellie…. Idk what to do for her. This is the fourth leaf that has turned yellow and now the fifth leaf is turning. I took her out of her pot and her soil was wet so I put her into a dry soil and a new pot, but she’s still losing leaves. Is there something I’m doing wrong or is this normal with plants that have been overwatered? TIA!

Hi guys I just got a Monstera and it was doing great but recently noticed this part on a newer leaf. Almost looks burnt, but it’s been growing in surface area on the leaf and part of the stem. Last pic is what it looked like on Saturday. Other pics are from today. Rest of the plant looks very healthy!! Soil is dry at the top currently but still a little moist about an inch down. It sits in front of my patio door and gets a lot of indirect sunlight with about an hour of direct sunlight later in the day. I’ve been misting as the app advises. The plant as a whole looks healthy except for this one section and I’m scared of how fast it’s spreading 😩 is there something I can try? Should I try to remove the affected stem before it spreads?? Any advice would be appreciated!! 🥲 SOS

I'm a little concerned about my pothos. It seems to have got very droopy. But on the other hand it is growing a new leaf so it can't be too unhappy?

So this plant was very dry so I was giving it a thorough soak in some water for a few minutes when SO MANY long white tiny bugs were swimming around in the water😭😭 the health of this plant hasn’t been great for a long time, but I don’t see any signs of pests on the leaves. Please tell me this is what fungus gnat larvae look like and these aren’t thrips. Also in Canada we don’t have access to systemic granules. Not opposed to chucking the plant to save my collection Ps this same plant had mealy bugs not that long ago.

I’ve taken over this rubber plant and had it for the past year. The first ten months with us it was in our conservatory where it was absolutely fine, producing new leaves. I then noticed all the leaves down one side are really brown (the side facing the sun, possibly scorched? Although it’s been in direct sun before). I’m watering it as per this app’s instructions as I know it doesn’t take much water. Is there any saving it? The leaves on the other side and at the top are fine but one side looking very sad. Have moved it out of the conservatory for the time being.
