I just got this swiss cheese philodendron 2 weeks ago from a reputable seller, but as soon as i got home the leaves started turning yellow rapidly. I gave it a couple days just in case it was overwatered but it became worse, so i lightly watered it. It still didn’t help. Could it be overwatered still? What can i do? Thanks!!!

What do you do when you get a light and mild mold on the very top of your soil? I noticed it when I went to check if it needed water and noticed this slightly snowy looking sorta dusting. I didn’t take a picture. Grace (her name) looks a tad droopy but not bad.

My monstera has gnats and I don’t want them to spread to my other plants.
What is the best way to get rid of the gnats?

Help! My plant is losing leave like crazy for the past 2 -3 months. The first photo is from march. I’ve tried moving it to different areas with different lighting and watering more/less but it’s still looking barer every day

Hey everyone! 🌱One of the leaves in my Amazonian elephant ear is crispy, dry, and yellowish black almost. I did the AI app and it says I’m under watering but I also saw a post of something similar and said they are over watering so which one is it? Does this signal over or under watering? Also, there is one other leaf that has yellow spots all over? Is this due to too much sunlight (indirect?)
For vis, I water nearly every 2 weeks (I can go under or over that occasionally), 16 oz of water sometimes with fertilizer sometimes without. Some help please 🆘🌱

How exactly do I deal with dying foliage if it extends into the soil? Will simply cutting near the bottom suffice?

I woke up and found a bunch of white stuff in the soil of my succulent. I use the succulent soil from Miracle-Gro. Does anyone know what this is? The plant is healthy otherwise (at least for now). Should I be concerned?

So some of you might’ve seen some posts about this one in other groups before
She started off as 2 bulbs in a massive pot and was severely struggling and I was advised to size down the pot so I did, and I moved the 2 seperate bulbs into their own pots
But she’s still struggling pretty bad :(
The other bulb failed and died and the roots completely dropped off as well as the leaves so now I’m down to this one out of the pair
The stems are very weak and floppy as are the leaves
I’ve tried to move it around to find the right amount of sunlight but nothing seems to be right
I’ve also linked the plant to this post in case anybody wants to look at its history as well
Please help!!

What is this whitish spot on my nerve plant? Is it mold or from too much sun? It looks like it's only on this bottom leaf.

My fiddle leaf fig used to have big green leaves but in the past couple weeks they’ve all turned brown and fallen off. We just moved to a new house but put her in a similar spot by the window like she was at my old house. She hasn’t grown new leaves in over a year though. Anyone know how I can get her big beautiful leaves back?

Anyone know why this calethea vittata’s leaves are curling? I water when top two inches of soil are dry.

We got this bird of paradise for free from someone who was getting rid of it. For a while it was losing all its leaves and the remaining leaves were curled, but we repotted it and took care of the root rot and now the remaining leaves are looking much happier.
At the base are all the dried stem remains- should we keep those or take them off? I can’t find any birds of paradise online that look like this!

I feel I rescued this from a garden centre but it was initially strong and green. Why is this leaf now turning brown and limp? it's been watered exactly to Plantas schedule. I've noticed a second leaf also going limp and brown further down since taking photos to share on here... the leaves aren't crispy, but soft? Since looking at it's 'care schedule' on here, I'm wondering if it's not getting enough light? Would that do it? Note, I'm in the UK and it's not very bright outside here during the day now and also gets dark about 4pm. Thanks for any advice 🙌🏼🙏🏼🤩 (for now, I've moved it to the lounge patio window, assuming lighting to be it's issue until I hear replies from you guys 👍🏼💪🏼)

I have a Striped Dracaena Warneckei that has been doing well. In the last three weeks the leaves at the bottom are drying up and I can just pull them out. Is this normal? There is new growth at the top.

Bromeliad is looking kinda “dull”
I water when soil is becoming dry, as well as keep the leaves holding water. Could the dark spots on the leaves mean I have it too close to the window?
I feel like it is deteriorating.. or is this normal growth patterns?
Any advice, suggestions, opinions are greatly appreciated.

why does this happen?

Hi. Is this all I can ever do for gnats? There’s too much and I wanted to get rid of them completely

I had an issue with root rot on both my Thai constellation, and my black velvet alocasia.
For my black velvet I did a peroxide, water, and a tiny bit of neem oil soak on the roots that were left. I threw out the old soil, down sized the pot.
For the Thai I have constantly had issues with this plant, either bugs or now root rot. I have went ahead and took some advice from a previous post. Trimmed up the roots soaked in peroxide and water mix. Dried her out for a few minutes and downsized her pot. Now added little small rocks and pebbles to her soil mix to hopefully open up the soil for more air flow.
I really appreciate everyone’s help on my previous post. We will see what my lovely plants have in store
