Help! Any advice on this? not sure what the issue is w my SOH
A beginner needs help! I got this Bird of Paradise repotted and fertilized. I’m trying to get the leaves up to stop the bending. What’s the best way to do that? I’ve been fumbling with bamboo sticks and they don’t seem strong enough. Is this a lost cause and I should just cut them? The leaves are in great shape. It’s clear this plant was well loved until just recently.
Hi fellow plant lovers! I’m having a problem with an enormous amount of flies around my raised garden bed. I’ve read that it’s possibly from the potting soil? Is this a thing? Does anyone have any recommendations and/or experiences with this? Thank you! 😊
As you can see, my pink princess is having trouble being and staying pink. Most of her leaves are green and her one pink leaf is yellow. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix this?
So good news! my lovely elephant ears have new growth! Bad news, thrips! So I’m currently treating him, but I’ve also noticed his roots are popping out beneath his pot. Should I give him an up in size now and rinse him completely off, or wait til I can get rid of the pests?
i think i need to repot my golden pothos because the soil doesn't look super nutritious and its been a long time but i am TERRIFIED because this plant is like 20 years old and has been in this pot for almost that long. the plant is doing well, but i think it would do better with some new soil. the reason the plant isnt massive after being around for 20ish years is because my mom trimmed it a lot and also tried to kill it through neglect last year and i saved it. i want to keep it in the same pot even though its probably too big.
Hello, my Poinsettia has these white bugs or nests. I am not sure what they are or how to get rid of them. Please advise, thank you.
My Madagascar palm refuses to hang on to new leaves. They start to grow and then a few days later they turn black and shrivel up. This has been happening for a few years and I’ve tried more water, less water, more light, less light, soil change and nothing seems to work. I’ve checked the roots and they look very healthy. Any advice?
This was found on a leaf of my split leaf philodendron when I was cleaning the leaves. I cut the leaf off and am wondering if it is something I need to treat the plant for?
I rescued this poor guy from my besties windowsill, he was shoved behind a couch and forgotten 😭 When I took him home he was barely green, mostly brown/grey and I’ve given him some TLC, the left pic is when I had him for about four days and picture on the right is me having him for two weeks. I’ve repotted, and fertilized, and been misting. Does anyone have any other advice with helping its recovery? Should I take off or leave the more damaged pieces or are some scars ok? Ty in advance!
My Striped Calathea had been really healthy until it crisped up last week (I moved out of the direct light). My cat chewed on it a little in the new location , so I moved it again. Now I've noticed some pests that look kinda like tiny spider. My poor plant seems to stressed. Any idea what the pests are and how to help it recover.
Hello! I acquired this Bird of Paradise. Some of the branches are obviously bent but none are completely broken. Do I cut off the stems that are bent? Or keep taking care of her to try and get them back?
I’m new with plants and when I got this one it was healthy but some of the leaves died and I took them off. Now the biggest leaf is brown and dried at the end and I don’t know why. Please help!
I need help. I think it needs to be repotted. Any suggestions
Hello all! I downloaded planta to get help with my Dumb Cane. I first got it I'm a florist's surprise bowl from my grandma. She relieved it as a gift at my grandma's funeral, so I'm obviously desperate to keep it alive and have it grow. It's got 3 stalks with almost no leaves and one stalk with none (the thickest stalk... go figure). I just reported it in a combo of the soil I had on hand, (sand, perlite, potting mix, cactus mix) to have something well draining and chunky as I read online, this repot is new but I've had the plant for months with no new growth. It was in plain basic potting mix before. And lives under a grow light. No root rot. Do you think this repot will help or do I need to do more? The big stalk has been working on that node nub for a month...
Hey everyone! In need of desperate help. I recently had to repot a bunch of my plants and they look far worse than before and it’s scaring me…. The soil doesn’t feel super wet after watering . They look really limp and unhealthy. I’m so devastated. The Palm I have has new growth but some of the leaves look so dried out and dying . I’m usually so great until I repot 😞 The signs of what I’m seeing are completely opposite of what I know and I need help.
This is my allow Vera and it is kinda dry at some parts
Help! I repotted this guy 12 days ago & put a cacti/succulent soil in and now the leaves are falling off and it’s dying. What should I do to save it?
I have new blooms on my Kalanchoe but also a bit of trouble with browning and wilting on some of my leaves. Any advice?
