Came back from a sudden 4-day visit to my parents and my phil. Gloriosom has this big brown and yellow spot. The diagnoses says overwatered but I haven't been here to water it. It's the second to youngest leaf and I've never seen anything like this - it doesn't start from the tip but some part along the edge. Any ideas?

Iâve been collecting rain water for a few months now (not in a rain barrel, just in a metal bowl I put outside and then transfer into a clean empty milk jug) and recently the water has started to smell absolutely FOUL. What could be causing this?? I read that stagnant water can be harmful to plants, should I just ditch it and stick to distilled water?

I found several tiny mealybugs on my Hoya Krimson Queen this morning. There are almost too small to see in some places. I chose to dunk the entire plant in Dawn dishwater to clear them out of every nook and out of the soil. The downside is it kills off beneficial insects. I didnât see any other insects like common spiders. So, I chose this method. I soaked the plant for 30 minutes and followed up with multiple clean water rinses.

Does anyone have tips to help her? Iâve tried all I know and I am kind of new to plants.

Calling all Experts!
I switched all my Alocasias and a few other genes to Pon (or stratum first to help the transition) and since then, 70% of them go through guttation as soon as I water them.
I let them dry out 75% or so before watering. I use RO water with light doses of SuperThrive and they are all under grow lights. My apartment stays consistent at 76 degrees and 44% humidity.
Guttation feels like a symptom that needs to be addressed. Am I wrong?

Pests and treatment?
I just noticed pests in one of my plants. They seem to be coming out of the soil. I have included some pictures. Does anyone know what it is and how to treat? I also have other plants and I do not want it to spread đ
Any advice would be greatly appreciated đ

This otherwise healthy peacock plant now has small brown spots on top of the leaves and sticky wet spot underneath. Any ideas on what is going on? I only use distilled water and diluted fertilizer according to Planta schedule.

Any suggestions on how to help nurture my striped calathea back to good health? I havenât had it for very long, maybe a few months, itâs in its original pot I bought it in, it gets partial sun in my bathroom, near shower so also gets some humidity/steam there as it states humidity helps. I try to water in every two weeks or so. Pot has drainage. Iâve moved it closer to the window to get some direct light vs only indirect light. Does it need fertilizer? Should I cut off the yellowing/brown dry leaves? Thank you for helping me with this beautiful gal!

Hi new to plants and a friend gave us this one. App IDâd it as a Corn Plant? I repotted it and put new dirt. It seems to be doing better (new growth) and looks less sad. But Iâm not sure what to do about the brown part of the leaves. It was given to us with the brown tips and spots and I was hoping it would get better. But they arenât changing. Is there anything I should do?

Hello plant enthusiasts! I bought this cutie (I believe a peperomia??) at my hardware store for .90đIâd love to help it thrive so Iâve repotted with a mix of perlite, orchard bark and standard potting soil. But Iâm noticing some leaves are super weak, almost wilting. Does anyone have any ideas? Itâs on my patio that faces south and gets a lot of mid to late afternoon sun. Please notice the leaves at the top of the stalk with the adorable pink blooms.
