Recently chopped this philo melanochrysum to prop and without thinking i put it back in my cabinet (usually 80ish % humidity) and this happened… is it fine, should i cut it back a little and let it callous..?!
Note: the plant is currently out of the cabinet, was going to leave it out for a few days to see if that helps

Are these spots normal on a ZZ or did I over water?

My local nursery put up a 90% discount table and I brought 10 plants home yesterday. One of them was this limp and wrinkly ric rac cactus. I would like to see it recover, does anyone have any tips? It is currently in a north facing window and I repotted it with a tropical/succulent mix into a terracotta pot.

I have a Epipremnum pinnatum aurea that has been growing so fast and beautifully. Shes been doing great but the newest leaf came out looking like this (pictures 2 and 3) and some of my older leaves are developing similar brown spots (rest of pictures) I keep her in a glass plant cabinet under barrina t5 grow lights. (I have a humidifier and fans for air flow as well). I haven’t noticed any pests and I don’t think I’ve been any changes to my watering frequency…I usually let her dry out between waterings. Any help would be appreciated:)

Hey planters, been dealing with this issue for MONTHS and need some external opinions for peace of mind...
Most all my plants get this white buildup. My assumption was mold. As you can see, the same white stuff has appeared on my evaporative humidifier wicks as well, which is concerning as I don't want to aerosolize and breathe in the mold/spores.
Now I'm wondering if it's actually hard water build up. I'm doing a simple little test (picture 4) I came up with to see if I can deduce the problem. I just watered my corn plant, so I've placed three pieces of the white stuff on the top soil to see if it grows/spreads to the surrounding dirt. If yes, could be mold. If not, could be hard water crystals.
Anyone else trying to differentiate between white mold vs calcium buildup?

Any tips on how to get this plant (peace lily?) doing better? My mum waters it about once a week. Thank you 🌱

My pothos plant looks like it’s dying!
this plant has never had all green leaves at once, but lately more leaves are turning yellow and shriveled.
I recently repotted it to a pot with drainage as the roots were rotting but since then the leaves have started yellowing. I also moved it to a location farther away from the window but it is a bigger brighter window. Water about once a week.
I have photos of the before and after locations (the after is taken from the vantage point) as well as various photos of the plant in the past couple weeks as you can see the leaves turn browner over time.

Hi! So this orchid originally came in a pot without drainage. All the flowers have fell off, so we repotted it into a nursery pot. Any tips would be appreciated to get it back to blooming !

I’m so confused! 😩 ive had my girl for over 1.5 yrs and all of sudden it’s turning yellow and loosing leaves very quickly down the stem but it’s also still producing babies at the tip of the stem. I haven’t changed anything. I still water when completely dry, it’s in the same window it’s always been in. I just cant figure it out. This one and my Golden Pothos are doing the exact same thing, but my N’Joy is thriving!

Turns out, I’m a horrible palm parent. I’ve had the Chinese fan palm in the black pot for about 1 year, and the one in the grey pot for about 4 months. They have never thrived, always looking half dead. They’re in a room that gets direct sun in the morning and then indirect light for the rest of the day. I water when dry and mist daily. Please help! 😭 I want them to be happy, and they’re clearly not. The one in the grey pot especially has suffered some serious leaf losses.

Hello everyone😊
Can anyone help me identify this pant? My daughter was giving it in this rough shape and I brought it home to help rescue it. It was horribly root bound and even had a small orchid pot deep in the soil with roots in the small put and wrapped all around it.
Looks like a Pothos but the roots are not like the ones I’ve had for over 15 years. Googol suggested a few possible plants. Including a Vanilla Orchid, Hoya, philodendron and of course Pothos
It has been repotted and I treated the roots prior to potting and I have her up.
She’s under a grow light and and looking a bit better.
Thank you 💚🪴❤️

Hi! I’ve just been gifted a money tree which is nearly 6ft! The person who owned it moved to Australia a couple of months ago so hasn’t been cared for since he has been gone. What shall I do here?

What is going on with the leaves of my Mother’s of Thousands plant? Just received this plant today as a gift.

New to Planta and the groups. I’m looking for help with my monstera. I was looking for a home remedy to help with fungus gnats and came across using vinegar to keep them away, I also saw peroxide but I didn’t have any on had. Anyways I put a little bit of apple cider vinegar around my plant and within 2 days it’s grown this white fuzzy mold like stuff on the top layer of my plant. This happened before about a month ago when I was using neem oil solution to try to treat the rust spots it had. The rust spots and gnats are gone. But is there a way to get rid of the white fuzzy mold on the soil without replanting the whole thing? I don’t wanna go out and buy more soil as it’s already a big plant and I don’t wanna shock it from repotting it too many times. Any advice and help is appreciated!

Guys my tomato plant is going through something. I had two of em and I had to get rid of the other one because the fruit it bore had rot in them. I think it’s blight but I’m not sure

Can anyone please tell me what is going on with my plants and how to fix it? I know that the monkey mask needs a repotting but is there anything else I can do to help it.

I’ve been having issues with aphids on my mint for weeks, does anyone know a fast way to kill them without harming the plant?
Maybe I just wasn’t doing a good job at spraying down the plant and getting in all the little leaf crevasse
