Turns out, I’m a horrible palm parent. I’ve had the Chinese fan palm in the black pot for about 1 year, and the one in the grey pot for about 4 months. They have never thrived, always looking half dead. They’re in a room that gets direct sun in the morning and then indirect light for the rest of the day. I water when dry and mist daily. Please help! 😭 I want them to be happy, and they’re clearly not. The one in the grey pot especially has suffered some serious leaf losses.
Hello everyone😊 Can anyone help me identify this pant? My daughter was giving it in this rough shape and I brought it home to help rescue it. It was horribly root bound and even had a small orchid pot deep in the soil with roots in the small put and wrapped all around it. Looks like a Pothos but the roots are not like the ones I’ve had for over 15 years. Googol suggested a few possible plants. Including a Vanilla Orchid, Hoya, philodendron and of course Pothos It has been repotted and I treated the roots prior to potting and I have her up. She’s under a grow light and and looking a bit better. Thank you 💚🪴❤️

Hello everyone. Please don’t judge me, but there are literally fungus gnats hanging out around my bed. there are no plants on the shelf right above my bed and i’m so done with them. I wash my sheets every week. i’m not gonna spray pesticides in my bed. How do i keep them away? Thank you guys.
What is going on with the leaves of my Mother’s of Thousands plant? Just received this plant today as a gift.
New to Planta and the groups. I’m looking for help with my monstera. I was looking for a home remedy to help with fungus gnats and came across using vinegar to keep them away, I also saw peroxide but I didn’t have any on had. Anyways I put a little bit of apple cider vinegar around my plant and within 2 days it’s grown this white fuzzy mold like stuff on the top layer of my plant. This happened before about a month ago when I was using neem oil solution to try to treat the rust spots it had. The rust spots and gnats are gone. But is there a way to get rid of the white fuzzy mold on the soil without replanting the whole thing? I don’t wanna go out and buy more soil as it’s already a big plant and I don’t wanna shock it from repotting it too many times. Any advice and help is appreciated!
Guys my tomato plant is going through something. I had two of em and I had to get rid of the other one because the fruit it bore had rot in them. I think it’s blight but I’m not sure
Can anyone please tell me what is going on with my plants and how to fix it? I know that the monkey mask needs a repotting but is there anything else I can do to help it.
I’ve been having issues with aphids on my mint for weeks, does anyone know a fast way to kill them without harming the plant? Maybe I just wasn’t doing a good job at spraying down the plant and getting in all the little leaf crevasse
Help 😭😭 severe root rot on my monstera. Do I need to cut off all of the roots? If so, what’s my next course of action to save it? I’m not sure what to do. Any and all advice is needed. In the last picture I completely cut off the roots but wasn’t sure if the open, cut stems look ok or if I need to trim more of the whole root. (Hope that made sense)

Hi 👋, I bought about this lucky bamboo plant last week and the top is drying out and a *little* squishy to the touch and I’m a little worried, 😫 (it’s sitting in a tall jug of water and doesn’t get more than a couple of hours of light a day is that a problem should I cut it is this normal is there anything else you would recommend? I noticed two yellow mushrooms growing in one of my indoor plants. I’ve never had this issue before and I’m not sure if they will harm the plant (or me). I sat my plant outside one day to get some rainfall so I’m assuming the spores blew onto my plant. Should I remove them or let them die? Will they harm my plant?
Hi 👋🏼 I was hoping someone might know what’s going on with my peperomia. I’ve had this guy for over a year and this week it developed these brown spots of a handful of leaves. I’ve been watering according to Planta schedule. I replanted it recently (a month or so ago), but it seemed fine for weeks thereafter. I moved it to a brighter spot last week (no direct sunlight), but I don’t see why that would cause this issue. 🤷🏻♂️ Please help.
Welp, there goes 6 years of being a pest-resistant superstar 😭😭 My parlor palm has thrips. I hosed her down to bare root yesterday, drenched the leaves in Dead Bug brew, and removed all the leaves with evident damage. Now what? Would LOVE some opinions on how to try to save her. Diatomaceous earth? Bag it for high humidity? New soil and systemic? Chop and re-root in water? Thank you, friends!!!
