Just bought another TC monstera, and itâs planted in this substrate. Any idea what it is? Iâm not sure what it is so I donât know whether I should repot or not. I usually wait a couple weeks before checking the roots out to give it time to acclimate, but if this isnât an appropriate substrate I want to change it asap.

Hello all! Relatively new to being a plant father and am looking for tips. I was gifted this monstera in March as a housewarming gift. It had been repotted by the nursery when purchased. Overall I think itâs in good health as Iâm seeing some new growth. I did have a couple of little crispy spots that I trimmed off a couple of leaves. Wondering if I should leave whatâs left or if they should be pruned? And just overall tips to make sure i keep this bby alive! (Sheâs in a south facing window with indirect light but was moved for better pics) Thanks in advance!

From the terra-cotta pot to the plastic one in less than 6 months! She truly is a beauty. Iâve taken three cuttings off of it so far but itâs started to really grow, like four leafs a month!
Hi! This was one of the first plants I was able to grow in my journey to become a plant mom that isnât in danger of all her babies being taken away from herâŚlol. Now that Iâve learned more and joined this app to see others endeavors, Iâm wondering if sheâs as happy as I thought? She definitely continues to grow, usually at the ends of her long âweavesâ (such as where sheâs grown across the yoga cat on the desk and where sheâs touching the floor). Is this what many people refer to as âleggyâ? What will make her happier? Looking forward to your opinions!
How often does everyone water there plant? Iâve had about a month and Iâve watered maybe twice? I do spray the leaves once a week and wipe the leaves every two weeks. The soil is still pretty wet so I havenât watered it. Is that right? Just wait for the soil ti get dry? A new leaf has started to form!!
Iâve had my Thai for less than a month and I already chopped off some rotty roots. What are your best tips to avoid rot with these thangs
There is a quite long air root (about 9 and a half inches long) coming off of my monstera. Iâm not sure what to do with. It wonât stop growing but Iâm not exactly sure what it wants. I could cut that part of the plant off and propagate it, but I want to know if there are any other options before I do that.
Open to tips and recommendations. Hope to eventually have this beauty reach the ceiling and bigger leafs⌠Thoughts?
Iâve had my Monstera for just over a year now. What can I do to encourage larger leaves with the classic leaf fenestration / holes? Iâm thinking of repotting into a slightly larger pot and putting in a moss pole. Any other thoughts?

Hi can anyone tell me why my Monsteraâs leaves might have these ridges? My newest leaf opening up already has one. Itâs just too strange that 3/4 of my leaves have the exact same curl on them. Maybe itâs genetic? Thanks!
