There is a quite long air root (about 9 and a half inches long)… | Monstera Maniacs | Planta-Community

There is a quite long air root (about 9 and a half inches long) coming off of my monstera. I’m not sure what to do with. It won’t stop growing but I’m not exactly sure what it wants. I could cut that part of the plant off and propagate it, but I want to know if there are any other options before I do that.

Just stick it back in the dirt it’ll grow into more roots for you

either stick it in the dirt for more stability or you can put it in a cup in the dirt and let it grow roots seperately, i’m doing that now to encourage maybe a new plant growth 😎

You could put a cup with water in the soil, it makes the plant fuller

Thank you for all of the suggestions! I have stuck it into the dirt so it will hopefully give the plant more stability overtime.
