Lend me your expertise, please! Iâve had my monstera for a few months, and have been really careful - itâs thriving! Would love to know what next steps are? For context, I usually kill plants but have researched a TON and seem to have the hang of it now (mostly). My monstera is growing much faster than expected, and I donât think my slightly pathetic grow pole solution is cutting it. What Iâm doing already: - repotted 2 months ago - larger pot & better soil - grow light (sansi) as we donât get much sun - humidifier daily (occasionally every other day) - foliar fertiliser once p/week (recommended by the brand) So⊠I guess the question is how to support it to encourage growth without it getting too crazy or losing structural integrity? P.s. the top leaf that looks limp, leggy and raggedy is from when I didnât know how much light the plant needed - itâs always like that and Iâve debated pruning it⊠but have been nervousâŠ
I finally got my hands on a Thai constellation from my local plant shop! I know basic monstera care but are there any tips!? She is currently In what I believe to be a coconut substrate, I do an a humidifier in the same room while I wait for my plant specific one to arrive off Amazon.
I recently got a monsters albo off of marketplace and I noticed the leaves starting to droop so I did some investigation and it turns out the plant has major root rot and hardly no roots at all. All of the root system is brown and squishy. Is there any way I can save this poor guy? Heâs the most expensive plant Iâve bought and Iâd be sad to see him go.
Anyone got any advice? My monsters is so limp and sad looking:( Iâve changed the soil, check the roots (healthy). Literally have no idea whatâs wrong with it. Had it a long time so donât want her to die!!:((
Gus was getting floppy so I got him a trellis đ (Monstera adansonii)
Question: What is the purpose/benefit of pruning your monstera? Iâve had mine for just under a year, and have never pruned it. Curious if I should. TIAđ
New addition to the family added a new humidifier and it loves it few damaged leaves but hopefully it gets better gonna be reporting it tomorrow was thinking of getting a tropical soil mix and adding some perlite to it.
Love my (not so) little monstera family together.
Hello! I am brand new to the plant world and would love any advice about how to best take care of a Monstera. đ
Hi all âșïž just here wondering how often all prune your monsteras? I repotted and pruned this baby in January and sheâs really glowed up in the past 3.5 months â€ïžđȘŽ just not sure if I should trim her back a bit. Thanks!
Iâve had this monstera for a bit over a year and the roots were overgrown so I recently repotted about two weeks ago. She seemed to be very happy, shooting out new sprouts. But this week I started seeing the new leafâs browning. I have no clue whatâs going on pls helppp!
Monstera corner đđ„° fostering the giant on the right for my sister⊠thatâs the new spot for mine when she gets her own place lol xx
So excited!!! Just bought this beauty home earlier this week. đ„čđ„č can cross her off my plant wishlist now.
Hello plant peeps đđŸ Happy Friday! Just showing some gratitude for my baby. This is the beginning of a new leaf! I really thought I messed this plant up with my inexperience pruning (my first monstera and favorite plant) but grateful to see that my care and love has helped this plant thrive. Yay! đ đđŸđȘŽ The growth is astonishing for me. The first picture is from Tuesday, second and third pictures are from today! Grow Coco! GROW! đ„°đđŸđ„ł p.s. I love the fact the new leaf is already wrapping around the bamboo pole! đ
Hi yâall!! Just saved this baby from WALMART!! It was the last one and my first monstera!! Iâm so excited to watch her grow even more, but looking for any tips or tricks you experts can provide! Specifically what your thoughts are on those brown leaves. My initial thought is to cut them? Thanks in advance!
âïžâïžHELPâïžâïž My beautiful Monstera was suffering from root rot. I showered her, removed the dead roots, and I repotted her in a house plant pearlite mixture, two days ago. I have refrained from watering her because of her root suffering. But now she is having brown tips on her leaves . What should I do?đđ
Help! This stem in my monstera has started to go yellow/brown and turn super crunchy and dry. Why is that? And what can help it? I thought maybe I was over watering or my soil was too dense and staying too wet, so I repotted with a new blend, but I still want to try to see what I can do. The same stem has a new leaf that just popped out, so sheâs not dying. Any thoughts or advice?
hey all! my monstera has taken a turn for the worse and one side is dying off. the side with the leaf in the picture is still alive. this is the only leaf that didnât turn yellow and die off. iâve never propagated a monstera but would like to save a leaf from my original monstera so i still have her technically. the stem itself has one tiny little air node on it and then the notches under have a bigger one. i donât know where to cut at or how to propagate it and take care of my propagation i need all the tips and tricks i can get because id love to save this one leaf that lived! i do have rooting powder if that helps
Hi all. I have this adonsonii that I got a few weeks ago to put in my chameleon cage. Only 1 leaf had 1 fenestration, but a new one just opened with 3 fenestrations. My question is why is it so much higher above the rest? Can I cut it and replant it directly in the pot or should I just leave it and other leaves will catch up to it? It does have a plant LED bar above it, all of the current leaves still look amazing, and itâs got five new shoots on the underside of the plant so I feel like itâs doing good. I just donât like that stray leaf all by itself, but of course it has the most fenestrations so I want to keep it. I know Iâll have to bring it out of the cage soon as it will grow too big for that spot, but I will need to figure out a replacement for it.
