Some before and after. I ended up cutting the browned leaves. And repotting (as you guys suggested 😊) While I was repotting, it sort of naturally separated and I put them into two pots. Hoping it fills out 😬 🤞🏼

Got these babies as a gift. I have chopped some (very top heavy) but I’m also thinking that i need to repot. The first picture has a 10” pot and the second is 6”. Advice?

Recently got a brand new baby Thai con, no growth yet but a few of the leaves are browning since it’s been shipped 😔 Roots look in good health too

I bought this guy on July 3rd, this past week he pushed out a beautiful new leaf and I noticed he’s starting to get an aerial root! Today I decided to give him a coco coir pole. Such a good looking fella! 😍🌿

Hi guys, so my Monstera obviously has a front side to it. is that how most of them are or should we turn it around to let the other side grow? also I put it on a moss pole a few weeks ago but I’m not sure if I did it right🤍🪴

Was so close to losing this baby due to shock during shipping. This past week she threw out not one but TWO new leaves🥲 Thank goodness because this was a wishlist plant that I did pay a pretty penny for. Obsessed is an understatement.

Leaf #3 for this baby, and hopefully more fenestrations than the last one🤞🏼the difference between leaf 1 and 2 was pretty crazy, so can’t wait to see what this one looks like 🤩

I rescued this Monstera in June. Here’s a pic of when I brought it home for $3 and what she looks like now. The newest leaves aren’t giving any fenestrations, is it a light issue? She’s repotted in a tub right now because it was super leggy and didn’t feel comfortable trimming and propagating at the time. I’m blown away about how much she’d healed in just a month.

Just musing about plants today. Why don’t we see monstera hybrids? There seems to be and endless number of hybrid philodendrons and anthuriums hitting the rare plant market all the time. But I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a hybrid monstera 🤔 I’ll google it, but I still wanted to post in case someone wanted to get into a nerdy thought bubble with me 💭 I had this thought because the non-variegated philodendron white knight that I’ve had for about two years has given me its second surprise variegated leaf (not even on the same plant lol since the main one came with smaller pups). While I was admiring the white on burgundy on green layered variegation, I thought of how stunning a red variegated monster deliciosa would be! Gotta get those mad scientist growers in Thailand working on that lol So from there I thought about how many color varieties philodendrons come in compared to how few monsteras show. Which lead to thinking of the very colorful philodendron hybrids out there, which lead to my initial rhetorical question. I know some plant genuses can be very hard to propagate via pollination in “captivity,” which can contribute to lack of success hybridizing, besides just gene compatibility Like I said, I shall google it as well, but I wanted to try to bring some of my fellow nerds to the yard 😂💚 Pictures for tax. Please ignore the water drop spotting on the older leaves, I saw a thrip so I dowsed everyone in a spray with diatomaceous earth lol

Thought I’d share my first leaf with fenestrations on both sides! 💚 I’ve grown this plant from a lil tiny baby plant.

Hi Maniacs! ❤️‍🔥 Some questions about my monstera adon: I think I may have had it in too direct of sun a few weeks ago and it got crispy brown edges. It has since grown new leaves. Should I leave the browned leaves or cut them (at the base?)? It doesn’t hold water when I do water and feed it. Is that a sign that it needs repotting? I wondering if it needs something to climb up? Thanks for your help!
