17 inches long 14 wide! Still hardening off some
So... I am broke, I have an unruly adopted monstera that needs support, and I have a fab 3d-printed moss pole and a few bricks of coco coir. What I do not have, dear friends, is moss. I can wait like... 6 weeks, maybe 2 months, to be able to scrape together $20 for sphagnum moss, or I can fill the pole with coco coir and like... Stuff moss into it when I can afford some. Thoughts?
My monstera albo’s newest leaf is stunning, and I am so proud of her 🥹
What’s going on with my Peru?? I have the adansonii and she’s never done this. This one started these mysterious yellow spots a few days after bringing her home. She has a grow light above her and is pest free. Soil is freshly watered and drained through. She is not overwatered. Please help! This is a dream plant of mine!
Hi everyone, This is my first Monstera plant. I repotted him when I brought him home cause I wanted him in a drainage pot. I gave him a little bit of water but I didn’t think it was too much. The soil seems very dry now, it was wetter when a few leaves started to turn yellow a couple days ago. Then I thought maybe it wasn’t getting enough light because it is mounted on a wall to a south facing window. I put it in the window today to get more sun and it looks like more might be turning yellow. Do you think I overwatered it, it is getting enough sun next to the window, and/or it’s stressed from repotting? Please help!!
Hi! I have a monstera plant on my windowsill that’s been doing great for about 9 months to a year now since it only had baby leaves; it now has a few fenestrations!! But my only concern is that the leaves seem to be flat to the stems? Like they bend completely down and not up.. is this a problem? Does anyone know how to get them to open up more instead of being so flat? Pictures to show:) Tia P.s. I’m aware she needs repotting, I’m gunna get round to it very soon!
✨New leaf fenestrations✨
Anybody know what is causing these patches? No sign of pests and I water regularly
My Thai constellation just opened a new leaf and it’s so big and I’m so happy!! All the other leaves are fine but this new one is droopy. Is that normal or do I need to be doing something for it?? I haven’t had this happen with my other monsteras before
I feel like my monkey mask is a super light green and some of the leaves keep turning yellow in the back I don't think I'm over watering I use a water meter for the most part I just fertilized a month ago it wasn't real happy during the winter months but I don't know I just I'm wondering if the whole thing is turning yellow temperatures stay between 66° to 75° with a 55% to 70 percent humidity via the humidifier and heater in the sunroom 😩🪴 I just don't know he's left her so finicky it seems I don't know they're just so beautiful I just keep buying them and I'm pretty new to all this 🤦♀️ also I have it in the South window with a want to call it dappled light through the blinds do I need the blinds to be closed a little more for the monsters during the afternoon sun time? Like all the way closed just brightness through the blinds? Now my mini monstera just seems to be thriving in the full sun of that South window and the leaves are not scorched at all but the warmer months are coming so should I also start closing those blinds a little bit as well? Thank you all so much in advance 🙏🥹🪴🧡
Does anyone know why my new leaf is coming in damaged with holes like these? I don't know if it accidentally was ripped young or if its something else - please help!
Found this. It'll be back before you know it, and it is now by far the largest delicosa I own!
Help please😭 One of my monstera leaves has these thin brown trails that look like pest, but I’m not sure which one. Other leaves don’t have these trails. I did the Planta diagnosis and online research, but I don’t think they’re aphids, mealy bugs, or thrips. Any insight appreciated🙏
Hi everyone! My main Monstera plant is starting to show signs of needing to be repotted. Any suggestions on how I should do so? Thank you so much.
When misting my Monstera Peru today—-no leaves were like this previously. You can see other photos that I’ve taken over the last month or so. It is sitting on a cabinet about 5 to 6 feet from an east facing window and may get some direct sunlight in the morning. Nowhere else on the plant has any type of brown area like this one. Thoughts please???
Just repotted my girl Minnie. I’ve had her for about 9 months now and she had the smaller leaves and has sprouted 5large leaves but they were growing out instead of up. I finally put her on the floor today and added this support.. but I’m reading a moss pole is best. What size? Also.. any other tips to get my babe to grow up?
Hello! I’ve had this monstera for about a year and she was repotted roughly 2 weeks ago. I saw some videos on adding in something to help monsteras grow up more. I was wondering what would be the best way to achieve that? I don’t know if mine has long enough aerial roots for that or if I add in support and it will just start to grow up. I would love some advice on how to grow her into a big monstera(:
Just enjoying the newest leaf on this bad boy 👌🏼❤️🌿
Hi! I am a new Monstera lover and purchased this one from Lowe's a week ago. It's in the same nursery pot it came in, and I sat it in the tall planter with a saucer under it (cat mom). The soil was really wet when I bought it, but I've been monitoring and seeing if it will dry out. I want to give it 2-3 weeks to get adjusted to its new environment and then repot to change the soil. I will be making a chunky soil mix to use when repotting. Also, it was exposed to cold during the brief transport home. There is a small dark spot on one of the new leaves. I can't tell if this is two plants or just one. I'm new to this plant owner thing but have been doing ALOT of reading and watching YouTube videos. I would love for her to grow big and wide, but I'm not sure about the following. Could you please offer your advice based on your experience? Lots of questions here! Thanks so much for helping! - would you repot now to change the soil to a more chunky medium, which is more dry than what it is currently in? - if this is two plants vs 1, do you recommend I separate them? If so, what's the best way to do this? - what do you think the dark spot is on the new leaf? - should I remove the smaller leaves on the bottom? I ask because I've read that sometimes that's taking away energy from the larger leaves -what's your suggestion on using poles to help growth upward?
