TLDR: I have been keeping these massive monstera cuttings in water buckets, how do I know when to plant them in soil?
Hi! First time posting here, Iâm quite new to plants but I am super obsessed so far, about a couple months ago I found out I had a giant 6ft-8ft monstera growing on my tree on my front yard (I knew it was there before but had no idea what it was until I got into plants) probably growing for a few years, (I actually found out it came from my neighbors yard but once it hit my tree it just grew like crazy) anyways like a month after noticing and started to take more care of it my landlord comes in and cuts it off lol, i tipped the guy cutting it and he gave me the removed plant in several huge pieces. I have trimmed and placed the pieces (each is probably half a foot tall and a foot wide on the leave ends) in individual buckets with water to try and propagate, however my question is when do I change them to soil? All the fragments have roots that were attached to the tree and aerial roots intact and some have started sprouting new roots as well in water. Should I continue leaving in water and changing water for a couple of months or can I go ahead and plant in soil?

Looking for advice on these two Monstera, not sure if I need to relocate or what Iâm doing wrong. The smaller one used to be bigger but this is what we saved a bit seems to be holding its own, but Iâm wondering if it needs a new home. The larger ones leaves are turning brown once again not sure if Iâm over or underwater, or if it needs to be relocated. Almost forgot about this one that the edges of believes of browning it has been in the spot for quite some time but still seems to be a bit temperamental with the browning of the edges of the leaves

Hi,
I need a bit of help with my plant. Iâm seeing more brown spots pop up and Iâm not sure why. Itâs in a south facing window and gets watered regularly. I use a moisture meter to check when it might need watering. Since its winter, its been less frequent but all my other plants are the same so I havenât been alarmed by that.
It definitely needs repotting but I thought it would be best to wait until the spring. I bought it a few months back and it needed repotting then but Iâm still very much a beginner so I didnât know at the time. Since I bought it 4 new leaves have grown but since October, thereâs been no new growth. Is this normal considering its condition? It is growing in height though. Iâve attached a few pictures of the brown spots. If anyone knows what might be causing it and how to remedy it Iâd be very grateful!
Iâve also added a picture of a leaf that Iâve just removed from the plant.

Hello! I need a bit of advice please- firstly is this beauty a monstera?!? I bought her the other day from h&m as she was reduced and i didnât want them to throw her out. Secondly, it would appear she needs to be repotted as her soil is coming up and spilling over the pot line. Could i please have some advice on how best to repot her? I want to make sure she has the best chance at surviving! Thank youuuâșïž

Hi there!! Iâm just wondering what you guys use to help avoid transplant shock. Iâve got this one monstera deliciosa cutting that Iâve been propagating since probably may ish, and as you can see the roots are insanely beautiful. Itâs slowly starting to get too big for what I have it in and has another new leaf coming in (the second since propagating it) Iâd like to put it in soil soon but Iâm afraid of shocking the plant

Hi! I purchased this Monstera Albo cutting almost a week ago and am worried about the roots, does this look like root rot? There is an aerial root further up the stem so I am not sure the best way to propagate - any tips appreciated!

New plant mom here. I got my monstera for Christmas and so far Iâve watered it once and misted it once. Iâve noticed these spots on the leaves and those spots at the bottom. Not sure what it means any thoughts? Tips? Thanks in advance đ

Just got my first Monstera I have a wooden pole behind the direction of where the stems are growing. Should I tie them to the pole with a loose string?

hiii my thai con put out a half moon leaf recently and itâs a lot floppier than usual, does anyone know anything about this?
Sarah
My Adansonii did a âfunâ little thing where her arm separated before Christmas. My hope is to eventually accumulate her back to a pot with the rest of the plant.
I know sheâs needs a bit more growth from her nodes, and the steps for her to move from water to soil. My curiosity is, how root bound do yall let your monkey mask get? The primary plants I have also are becoming root bound, âgrowing feetââ I live in a very cold region, and have radiator heat (e.g., they live on pebble trays đ ). Given the feral energy pre-holidays, is she giving me the heavy hint sheâs ready to be repotted? (I was hoping to combine her in the spring with another mature adansonii).
Any suggestions, or feedback welcomed.

Went on vacation and came home to a new leaf! I was worried my pot was too small for a new leaf. Thanks for my roommate to water Monster while I was away!!!

HELP! My monstera looks like itâs dying đą the leaves have started to go yellow and brown and no new leaves have grown in a long time. I follow the watering schedule on this app so I know itâs not to do with over or under watering. I also moved it to my bathroom to see if getting more humidity helped but itâs not worked. Any tips much appreciated! Thanks đ

I have a few monsteras and got a new one today! (I have a Thai Constellation on the way too!) Iâm very excited about it because the leaves are so big. I want the leaves to become much bigger on my monstera plants - any tips on promoting bigger leaf growth?
