I hat a little worrying to help my little little plant help climb and it's doing great
Just repotted my baby, Splif! Wanted to share her with y'all, I'm new to the Planta community. Say hi!đ
Yay!!! Hoya growth!
I wish you all could have heard the gasp I gusped when I spotted this little baby this morning!!!
I was gifted an air plant and repurposed an LED lantern casing I found near our apartment complexâs dumpster into a little faery air plant house. You canât really see it here, but I put some rocks and moss around the perimeter and used a pickle jar lid that I painted and put moonstone pebbles in, as a little dish for my plant.
This is my first baby spider plant off my gigantic Mama plant. Iâm experimenting and working on turning her into a bonsai spider plant. I had to bind the roots a bit, and theyâre still darkening and hardening (parts above the soil) but so far a success! If this turns out as well as I hope, Iâd like to do more!
Funny story about this plants name. âGenocideâ I had just come home from school on day when I realized I hadnât named one of my baby spider plants, the plant was almost dead and needed support so I placed a dried rose next to it the keep it up. I laughed at myself but then I thought it kinda looked like a grave. I became sad because we were learning about the Rwandan Genocide I soon named it Genocide. The plant started doing well and I no longer needed the rose for support, but I still left it there. It reminds me every week that humans are sinful and make huge mistakes sometimes. It helps me realize that I to need forgiveness every day. đđđ

Sheâs blooming đș This hibiscus has been through itâI brought her home at the end of last growing season, and she almost didnât make it through the winter thanks to root rot. After a rough recovery, I fertilized incorrectly (lesson learned!) and ended up having to cut back a ton of growth this spring. For a while, I wasnât sure if Iâd see any blooms at all this year⊠but here she is!
Plant updateâŠ..đ«Ł
Back again with the second Bearâs Paw Cactus that arrived in the mail this week đ feel free to turn this into a thread sharing your own Bearâs Paw cacti đ” For anyone wondering, I bought this one from Fijiplants on Etsy, they had a sale where you could buy one of these cuties and get a second one of the same size for $1.99 more. Cost $14.92 for two of these bad boys (not including shipping). Felt like such a steal. The second one lost a few more leaves and is drooping a bit from the trip, but the first one here was just fine. Gave it a repot and brushed off the soil that got on the leaves. Iâm hoping the second one recovers while under some grow lights for the next couple of weeks
The flower fragrance is like perfume.

Earlier (march) I bought a bromeliad plant after a few months it had a pup, I separated the pup from the mother plant, this is what it looks like after been repotted in it's own pot.
I love how well these two cuttings are doing! Potted April 1st
Slightly embarrassed, but could anyone tell me what kind of plant this is and if it can be revived? Iâm a newbie and this was left unattended. Iâm working to get my green thumb going. Help, please?!
My husband just brought this beauty home for our anniversary!! Itâs beautiful!!
My French Marigold finally bloomed!!!
This adorable little variegated Bearâs Paw Cactus arrived in the mail from Etsy yesterday đ„° Iâm obsessed with the little pink tips to her paws. Still working on picking a name for it, but Iâm so excited to watch it grow. Feel free to turn this into a thread if anyone else would like to share their little bearâs paw cacti đ” The seller even added a perfect little Panda Plant (Kalanchoe tomentosa) to my box as a free gift. It was such a wonderful little surprise. Iâll attach a photo of that one in the comments. She lost a couple of leaves from the trip, but I was expecting much worse given the ride from CA to PA. Just needed some fresh soil and a dry paintbrush to get that jostled soil off her leaves. Iâd love to hear anyoneâs suggestions for what I should name her đ
