I follow Paige Tailyn on IG, and today I mixed up some “Paige’s sexy plant juice” to clean my plants. 2 cups water, 2 tablespoons neem oil, 1 tablespoon peppermint Castile soap, 1 teaspoon isopropyl alcohol. Spray leaves top and bottom, wipe with microfiber gloves or cloth. My plants look amazzzzzzing now!!

When those conditions are just right. ❤️🪴
Finally got myself a Scindapsus pictus exotica. Had to split her into two plants because she was very root bound and I didn’t have anything larger than the pot she came in lol. Love the foliage on this girl!
I love all of the new growth on Manny, my tiny little mammy croton!
Y’all like Steven’s new hairdo? Steven is a rescue I picked up off the concrete at my apartment complex because the landscapers got too close to a cactus, and damaged it. I scooped him up and he came home to me for rehab. Now he’s growing new bits! (Also, behold the rock my son decorated) I think he’s a prickly pear cactus? If anyone knows better, please correct me!
Is my violet plant getting variegated?
Hi, I’m new to the plant world! 🌎 I had ZERO 🙅🏻♀️ interest in plants. But then came Penny, my first rubber plant I bought for my first apartment from Trader Joe’s. I named her like a joke until she started thriving. Like, really thriving! Out of nowhere, I became a little proud plant mom. Then Mac arrived… another rubber plant, gifted by my sweet friend as a house warming gift. And suddenly, this black-thumbed girl had two healthy, glossy, and green friends. 😅 Fast forward to today, I somehow acquired a mini plant bar for Mother’s Day. Tonight I surprised myself staying up to clean leaves, checking soil, trimming browning tips, and uploading their profiles to the Planta app like it was a dating site for ferns. I even took before and after photos. LOL Deep down this feels fulfilling and life-giving. Today I went to a local greenhouse and bought from neighbors via Facebook Marketplace. I totally get the obsession now. I get the deep-seated push to care for plant life and give them a bright future. I can’t believe I’m talking to my plants, naming them, and making sure their timers are set for their grow lights! But here we are and I’m not mad about it. There’s beauty in growing things, in loving what not everyone deems lovable. I’ve gone from 1 to 9 plants since January and Mother’s Day. 😂🤦🏻♀️
My 2nd Peony finally opened up. Looks like we just get two so far this year. Does anyone know how long til they have multiple blooms? I mean I’ve read that they don’t bloom the first year or two. So I was happy with 2 for year 2.
