Hello fellow plant parents ☀️ So last night, I decided to buy a Pinstriped Calathea 💜 I want to repot it into new soil but am afraid that regular all purpose mixing soil may not be the way to go. Anyone know if it’s okay and safe for the plant? 🤗

I got a wishlist plant 😍 it’s so adorable - Ficus pumila Quercifolia (String of Frogs). I think I’m going to get an a-frame geometric glass terrarium for it and just let it take over. I’ll also take some cuttings right away to propagate… you know just in case it somehow ends up in the graveyard. 😬 Care tips if you got’em! 💚💚💚
My first three plants! My mom gave me the aloe vera (she has about 5 now) but the other two I bought today! Super excited to start a plant family 😄 any tips would be appreciated, but otherwise I have my mom to rely on ☺️
A few new plants, some new growth, and just changing up lighting and placement here and there. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and your plants are flourishing! Spring is on its way, we’re almost there. **Side note… I cannot say enough good about grow lights! My plants have shown significant improvement since I started adding supplemental light in a few areas. Please don’t be influenced to buy any crazy expensive ones, I found 3 circle LED style lights, and a 12inx36in ceiling mounted light off of FB marketplace for <$50 total. Check marketplace, EBay, and thrift stores before buying brand new. You’ll usually find something better for cheaper secondhand, plants and supplies!🪴

How do I save this rained out Aloe Vera?
This is Kaito! He’s a pup (out of many) from my mom’s aloe vera that I’ve been taking care of in my room since earlier this year and he has grown quite a bit. I often have music on in the room and water him when the first few inches of soil feel dry. Thankfully he seems to be doing pretty well 😁

Found a variegated Alocasia black velvet ninja at Walmart for $17! (They go for anywhere from $200-$500) Could be sport variegation. But it’s on all the leaves except one so I’m hopeful!
I got this beauty two holidays ago, was put outside potted for the summer, thought we lost it and my husband had dug it out early and now he planted it and look
