The time has come. All my babies are finally happy and blooming. From the dream of growing African violets to getting to wake up every morning and see these breathtaking babies. I owe it all to my great grandmother who taught me to love plants and above all African violets. I’m glad I could get to carry on her legacy of growing violets.

I need to address something, please just scroll if you don’t agree! PLEASE STOP using AI for plant care! I have had to say this a ton in the past weeks and have seen others frequently mention it too. Ai can give misleading information especially on plant care (and trust me I have even experienced this before) I’m not saying you can’t use it at all for plants. All I’m saying that ai is LIKEY killing your plants if you follow the information it gives you. Please ask a real person in the real world or a trusted website about your plants before trusting what ai told you. Yes even humans can make mistakes I know shocking right? But it’s much better to ask someone who has had real experience with your issue than a literal robot. P.P.S I’m mostly talking about big companies like ChatGPT not planta ai (planta ai is like one of the only ais that actually works for plants (in my experience))

Philodendron Love Sweetie Girl has been living her best life since I was gifted her following surgery in March. She is so beautiful and is just thriving. I repotted her in April. Not sure where to go next with her. Whether I keep cutting leaves and propagating them. Her pot is pretty large already. But while I sit and wonder what’s next I love to look at her. She’s such a marvel.

I’m so happy today my 69 inch tall Madagascar palm I had now for over 36 years has finally decided to flower. My grandmother bought me this when I was just a little kid at the Home and garden show. It was no taller than a pop. Can it sits in front of 9 foot south facing windows so it gets plenty of sunlight all the time I fertilize accordingly and water accordingly, I basically try to treat this like a botanical specimen, which I think it is. I’m so happy.

Just got this awesome monstera bulbasaur in there mail today!!! I’m so happy about it. When I ordered it the website said it would be a tissue culture but then I got an established plant. Should I wait to take the plastic off of the pot? Or should I keep it on for extra moisture?
