My grandparents live near New Orleans and their plants love the tropical environment! The birds nest fern even has spores on the back of the fronds and I think the thanksgiving cactus is stunning

dumb question: do cacti really grow from the top? He looks taller than when i saw him last but would have thought they grow from the opposite direction. just wondering 😊

I have recently got this Alocasia and for some reason I have noticed these yellow patches appear on the bottom leaves of my plant, as well as some dark patches. I am very unsure of what to do and I know that the dark patches are not burns as I keep it out of direct sunlight. I have watered it just now as I haven’t watered it since I have got it ( a couple of days ago ) in an effort to try and stop the yellowing. Any help would be appreciated as I mainly look after succulents 🙂
