This is my ponytail palm! 💚 I’m still thinking of a name for her. It seems like she should have something really upbeat—but not preppy or too cheerleader-ish. Does anyone have any ideas?

I just separated the pup from my pilea! so excited to have a new plant 😊. (I just added new soil to these three plants that I had for a while!) I also just got a new jade plant today (which i named dumpling) and some new pots! I’m not going to switch the jade plant to new soil yet though since it's so new. (I like to put my plants in a plastic pot then hide it in a fancy pot!) Back to the pup! I named the plants when they were together miso but now that they are separated I'm naming the pup tofu since tofu goes in miso soup haha!

Okay planty people. I love posts where you all participate! 🤗 July is coming to an end (unbelievable, I know). So show your favorite plant(s) this month. Which plant(s) in your collection stood up to you this month and why? 🥰 Here are mine: - My variegated Maranta - got two this month and they quickly became a favorite 😍 Love how they are always growing a new leaf and each one is a surprise! - My Philodendron Majestic - sizing up quickly and rooting nicely on its moss pole!

I got this little one early 2023 before I saw (and bought) some more mature versions (also pictured). What was a little paw is turning into a head, and lots of hands giving the middle finger are following. But is it a cactus? No, and a guy at a plant shop made sure to remind me as he continued to say “We have cactus over there - I mean Euphorbia.” Thorns, not spines. From Wiki: “Among laypeople, Euphorbia species are among the plant taxa most commonly confused with cacti, especially the stem succulents. Euphorbias secrete a sticky, milky-white fluid with latex, but cacti do not. Individual flowers of euphorbias are usually tiny and nondescript (although structures around the individual flowers may not be), without petals and sepals, unlike cacti, which often have fantastically showy flowers.[22] Euphorbias from desert habitats with growth forms similar to cacti have thorns, which are different from the spines of cacti.” (Laypeople lol)

Local nursery has tons of trees and plants 50% off to make room for new inventory. I picked up a few that have been on my “Get List”. These are my snake plants. The cylindrical ones were bonus plants that had sprouted inside the pot with the braided plant. Not bad for $20.
