I got some goldfish plant clippings from my moms beautiful fully grown plant and I want to propagate one of my own! I’ve seen online that I should pluck the bottom few leaves to give the stem some room to sit in the soil (which i’ve done) and to keep it moist. Any tips or advice on getting this guy some life of its own?

I got this plant a while ago, and he was doing fine, but then I noticed the leaves were getting really weak, so I decided to repot him, and he is thriving!
